Just came back from Penang last night. Been a while since the last trip. Did the typical but meaningful stuff... eating at lorong selamat... buying DVD.... visiting mel's parents and aunty mary...

Oh yah - just dont understand why people would queue up so long to eat char kuey teow. I mean, even how good and different can char kuey teow be????... do u really want to queue up half an hour when u can get about the same opposite? I tell u that lorong selamat lady is making too much $$$. Utter nonsense.

Took 6 hrs to get back to KL last night. Jam.

Coming to that time end of year again. Christmas, friends, family and presents.... My parents, mel and i spent a fair bit of time last nite reminiscing on past christmases ... i guess i was bored from driving... kept me awake though...

We had dinner in Ipoh... and wondered what do people in Ipoh do for fun? It really is a very boring city. The chicken rice is good though.

The Linkin Park concert.... it was cool. 15 October 2003. Linkin Park live in KL. Should have blogged this earlier. Anyway we drove around on the 14th nite... Leech, Jimbo, Mel, S-Anne and myself... had dinner at dome... just tot we try and see if there was anything at Concorde Hotel (thats where the band was staying). Anyways we saw people waiting... we just thought we hand around the lobby for some fun. We met up with their crew... took some snaps with the crew... got free LP guitar picks.... the band finally turned up but was pushed into a service lift by security... Chester waved to both mel and me waving... big deal...

Anyway cool concert... I kept thinking at least the local organizer made some money smartly using an old deserted stadium... hmmm.... the dumb thing was a partition between the stupid CELCOM LIMITED TICKETS and the other crowd... i mean - if u gonna make a partition, dont leave that much space in between.

We we crammed like sardines but had fun. You must understand - we Malaysians are starved of good headbanging rock acts. Anyway... The ones pushing in the crowds near us were Singaporeans (huh!)....

Good stuff although i felt they should have slowed things down midway but they made it fast and loud. Lasted about less than 90 mins.

25,000 crowd turned up. Hats off to our government for letting us have some fun.
