FINALLY

Went for the launch of my condo block yesterday. Will officially get keys this week on the 14th. Went into my block but of course couldnt get into my place. But took a look at one of the opened units. Pretty happy with the overall design of the place.

Happy that:
1. the clubhouse looks great
2. the clubhouse is just next to my block and the block swimming pool in front is not too big but looking good... choice of 2 pools
3. Each unit comes with entrance iron gate. The entrance door looks nice
4. Nice slate tiles for balcony and entrance
5. Good lift and spacious area to walk outside condo

Not too happy:
1. with the exterior building paint.... doesnt look long lasting. crummy.
2. Hopefully the bathroom has a raised divider between shower and toilet as the showroom else extra cost to make that
3. That i have parquet floors... but I knew that long ago anyway...

So we (+ parents and mel) got there about 10:45... sat down and the first thing plastered at the entrance of cyberia was... "Welcome Ong Ka Ting... congrats on winning election...." with Barisan logo next to it... Ho hum...

Anyway, we proceded to park it what would possibly be my car park bay. Took our seats.... And the usual speeches ensued with your usual PA system that you wouldnt be able to hear what the speaker was saying but only applaud when he says "Sekian... terima kasih".... While that was going on, Mel and I went around my block to check out the area....

... So Mel had the idea to wait next to the makan area (anticipating the Malaysia rush for food and not queing up). When it was time to eat, everyone like came rushing for food (they would end up complaining about later on), and everyone in typical Malaysia fashion was shoving and pushing. One old lady like virtually plonked like 1/4 of the bowl of chicken curry on her mee hoon. What's wrong with Malaysians.... Mel said " I really wonder how the lady is gonna finish that plate of meehoon and chicken curry"....

Anyway we found a good spot and proceeded to finish our snack/lunch. When we were done I carried the plates back and my dad was looking at me wondering why I am clearing up... Mel and I lauched into preaching to my parents the concept of "clearing up your own dishes" how by studying abroad we were educated with better "attitudes".... Well, it was proven true, as I brought the stack of plates to the kitchen area, the MKLand lady was probably shock/happy/in state of disbelief and she asked me "do you want a drink... hot or cold... would that be one cup or two".... PROOF THAT if you treat others good and had some class/manners you will be treated with the same respect (not all the time but at least a chance of that kind of treatment). So with that evidence, I reinforce my earlier "surmon" to my parents hahahaha... and mel underline the fact my saying, "This world would be a better and cleaner place if everyone just cleared their OWN junk".

Anyway had a blast at futsal yesterday... Played and challenged a new group, played in a larget fifa sized turf.... with Hoe, Kit and myself scoring. Fun.
