MEANT TO LIVE
I believe in God. I believe in peace. I believe we were meant to live for so much more. The whole idea is peace from within before peace on the outside....
Haven't felt like this in a while. Much has happened this past few days, running around meeting so many different people... so tired and drained!
Mel, baby you are so important to my life and I'm so glad for your energy.
All I wanted to say, there must be a reason we were made. Look at our body, how well designed it is, the birds, the animals this world. Unbelievable.
"We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life, yeah
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves? " .... Switchfoot, 'Meant to Live'...

THE IMPORTANCE OF SPACE
Ever yone needs their space. They need time to recollect thoughts, increase their understanding and plan out what to do next... "Absense makes the heart grow fonder" is true when you are separated from your close ones, even for a short period of time.
You always have to find the right balance. Giving a person too much space could end up in you becoming seemingly uncaring/unbothered. Not giving space, choking a person would mean increased tension in a relationship, more fights....
But more importantly the space you need for yourself. When there is no one around only then you realise the importance of needing others and the feeling of loneliness... when there is no one around also then you can give a bit of your time to others who need it...
Anyway, it was a weekend where Mel was away, it felt great when she came back yesterday. It was a also great to spend time with some friends, like Kumar, Hoe, Kit, Chris, Lan, Sue-Ann.... Good to meet su-yin.blogspot.com in person... great car driving with Kit trying to lose someone's stalker....
There you go guys, less life report this time. Do you all really want all these boring thoughts and reflections??? HAHAHAHAHA... Don't think so rite? Even I'm falling asleep writing this blog....

LONG DAY OUT/MEL FOUND PLACE/FOOTBALL FEVER/LOST PDA/MOTHERS DAY
Ha ha ha ha.... Ironical, absolutely Fantastical, and Heart Warming... sounds like a movie... that would sum up the weekend. Sorry, Chern, but I am back to my blogging life report best thats what I am and what I will continue to do... While others bitch and rant about stuff on their blogs, I will be the usual BORING life report guy...
WELL? What happened.. Hmmm... where to start... Firstly Mel found a great place to rent ... Menara Duta 2 or something near Sri Hartamas... pretty good location, good facilities, great roomies and nice room + bathroom ... so happen i also had exactly enuff monies in my wallet to loan Mel first for the deposit... everything was working out, we managed to get the master bedroom.... after that it was seeming like a perfect day, everything was working out and then... finally i ate at Chillis. After that month+ long of health food obsession, and after deciding to cut down on expenses, Mel and I somehow found ourselves lunching at good ol Chillis. We didnt want to wait like everyone else (i mean 1/2 hour for a table at 2 pm ?? C'mon....) so we sat at the bar... nice lunch. You know what rocks about Chillis??? Free flow drinks, the ability to talk out loud.... yup... and a real humoungous fatty american BURGER...HAHAHAHAHA .... Well, sitting at the bar was kinda refershing change... although we didnt have a table, we got instant service... which I think is a good trade off.... anyways Alvin and Gabe dropped by while i was 76% done with my Burger.... so then I started my football talk which would last the whole day .... sorry guys... non-stop football critic... HAHAHAHAHAH
What proceeded was meeting up with Chern and then lets see where we went:
IKEA/IKANO (For Gabe, Alvin and Chern) -> KLCC -> Chillis -> Shopping mostly at Nautica Store -> Starbucks for drinks -> Kinokuniya (bought X-Men comic) -> Times Square -> Pizza Uno (Dinner) -> Bintang Walk (To Kill Time, waiting for 11pm to meet Lin Poh and friends) -> Lecka Lecko Gelato -> Bar Savant -> Nearby Malay Restaurant for drinks -> Coffee Shop (watch football) -> Home.
Phew... what a long long day. Yup between those locations.... it was footbal chat all day between myself, Gabe and Alvin... everyone wanted to have italian for dinner so everywhere was expensive so pizza uno was a pretty good choice... it was insane... we had to wait for linpoh and us guys were getting frustrated not able to chill down and just watch the bunch of live games that nite...
When we got to Bar Savant... man... there was NO SCREEN! And no screen at the adjoining clubs and restaurants.... WHAAAT THE HELL????? Anyways... I even went to Sheraton and couldnt find a damn sports bar/bar with a screen showing the EPL game. We sat down, had drinks at this malay restaurant and I asked Gabe to check out the chinese coffee shop at the end... Gabe came back triumphantly with 2 thumbs up! YESS!!! So us guys went over while the girls went to Bar Savant... Cool... got out football fix and great game Liverpool vs Birmingham...
Anyway, all that activity and dunno what I ate, affected my tummy so I headed over to Bar Savant after the game and passed my pda + keys to Mel... and went over to the nice super-clean Sheraton hotel toilet.... to cut the story short, my pda got stolen/lost .... anyway things like dat happen so its not mels fault, i blame the damn dishonesty of people nowadays...
MAKE SURE YOU DONT LEAVE THINGS LYING AROUND BAR SAVANT! DISHONEST WAITERS PROBABLY - PASS THE WORD...
Yup another place on the black list... And I happen to now agree with Alvin - don't go to places that dont have free flow water (like Pizza Uno)....
Hahahahha... really good places seem to have free flow water... Chillis, Fish n Co, hahahaha.
Anyway my black list isnt that long but Bar Savant is now in there, along with Zouk, along with Lorong Selamat Char Kuey Teow....
Sunday was the usual except it was a Happy Mothers Day and my mommie loves Fish n' Co and thats where we went....
Baby, dont feel bad about the PDA.... Am really touched you practically thrased and turned Bar Savant upside down searching for it, as well as interrogating the waiters and manageress.... Hehe...

BLOODY DEFECTS
... Yup, since no one is bloody around in the office - I decided to check out my condo defects. Man. Suffice to say I wasn't too please. The first time, I guess I was too excited about getting my place and the second time, was carried away with my friend telling me what's nice about my place.
Well, this time, with a clear mind and a useful flourescent lamp to light the rooms for me to check it out.... I headed to my condo for my next inspection...Man, when I see the finishing I want to FINISH the developer's HEAD OFF. Anyway, I guess Paramoden was in a hurry to ensure they get MMU and LUCT tenants in time for the June intake! True, enough, so many units were occupied on my block!
Anyway, dunno which bloody chinaman contractor they got, they better make good with my unit. So far, am moderately happy with the customer service, very happy about the facilities, dissapointed with the poor and rushed finishing, happy with the features like the alarm system, ethernet ports and centralized astro.
BUT: Why the hell you have a rule book that says occupants cant hang clothes in the balcony when all the damn students do it anyway. Ah well, you have to understand, living in a student infested area. Why the hell do you build a water outlet for all aircons but dont have a hole for piping for the compressor? Why do malaysia contractors do a sub-par job only to keep coming back later to fix it and spend more resources? BODOH! Do a good job the first time!
I can smile a bit. At least I know Mel and I can really make the place look good after they fix up the mess. Boy, oh boy, tomorrow we really gonna be kicking up a fuss at customer service....

PENANG HOUSE
Just had lunch by myself. Had to do a few things: 1. pump petrol full tank RM 43.80... 2. withdraw money to pay bills.
So, drove to the nearest petrol station in Putrajaya. Despite Cyberjaya being so-called self supporting .... we don't have a bloody petrol station yet. Grrr.... Anyway pumped a full tank, was hoping the ATM was a RHB at Petronas... nope, no such luck.. Maybank instead... So, drove to the nearest RHB in Precinct-dunno-what. Managed to get a parking immediately in that busy area as some guy vacated his (thank you God for small things like that!!!). Anyways, had to make a decision where to fill my tummy. My choices were (at that building) Baker's St. Bakery, Mamak Nasi Kandar and guess what ... Penang House.... yes, Penang House, a branch of the money-making shop at Cyberjaya Street Mall.
A place where I remember ALWAYS having to wait like centuries for what I always order - Fried Rice ADD egg.... Hmm... went upstairs, opened the door, and there it was... Penang House, smart marketing and tactics and now bringing chinese food to the masses. Waiters and drinks were malay staff but the kitchen and owner all chinese. Man, they are making money. At first the crowd didnt seem to be that many so I decided to take the risk of waiting and order my usual FRIED RICE ADD EGG..... to my horror, there was this big order of like ta pau for the entire office by someone, and I ended up AGAIN waiting like 30 mins for my FRIED RICE ADD EGG... Same restaurant, same grumbling, same fried rice only in Putrajaya.... HAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHA.....

LONG WEEKEND REPORT WITH PICTURES
Friday nite: Mel and I bumming around with Chern, Gabe (just came from Penang) and Elliot. Mamak and then San Fran.
Saturday & Sunday & Monday: Mel and I 3 days 2 nights in Penang with Jimmy, Joyce and Hoe. Stayed at Leisure Bay, last-minute managed to get an apartment thanks to Mel's Dad... every hotel was booked. Took us like 7 hours just to get to Penang on Saturday. Gasp. Highway driving mostly by Jimmy and Hoe. In Penang, was me.... The usual things were done.... meals at Lorong Selamat and Swatow ..... night shopping at Bt. Feringgi... Shopping at Gurney and DVD hunting.... Other than that... Fun at the beach.... Dinner at Tambun (delicious... seafood for 5 at RM90 only can u believe it... crabs, prawns etc) ... the drive back to KL wasnt so bad... pretty smooth, arrived at midnight.
Anyways, still managed to watch footie with Hoe on Sunday nite at Tari Cafe (located just at the entrance of Leisure Bay).
Yesterday was quite fruitful... Yes, placed an order for my walk-in wardrobe at Sliderdrobe in PJ. Happy happy (except my wallet). Nothing really extravagant, but at least something close to what Mel and I designed... At my budget, this was a great buy.
Pictures description: Bangsar pics (Chern and Gabe), Penang Trip (3 pics only - Jimmy and Joyce, Hoe, Jimmy and Joyce again), Cyberia condo (views from balcony pool, clubhouse and poolside, balcony, master bedroom )

FINALLY A LONG WEEKEND
Yup a four-day weekend. Rejoice. Time to unwind, kick back and relax. Hope it turns out that way! Tomorrow we will get on the road to Penang, Hoe, Jimmy, Joyce, Mel and I. May it be a fun trip.... Amazingly we managed to get accomodation at the last minute... thanks to mel's dad. An apartment in Bt. Feringgi. Cool. Work is slow, with the anticipation of upcoming projects. Here is the cycle of working: complain no work ---- rejoice got work ----- complain too much work ----- complain not enough pay ---- complain not enough work ---- complain no work ..... and on and on.
On the new house developments, we got a rough quotation from Ikea on the kitchen reno, dad uncovered a whole long list of defects, now getting a quote for wardrobe. I will be broke when I shift in, for sure!
Had lunch in Putrajaya Food Court, Rain Nudle Green Curry Rice RM6 compared to the RM15 you pay if you ate in KLCC.....

BUY CHOC WAFER
Another day of colleague bonding in AUNTYLAND. Yes, my male-colleagues have dubbed our company auntie land..... That's the female attraction factor.... all aunty... Har har... A statement made a true hard fact when we had lunch at LUCT. Anyway why BUY CHOC WAFER? Coz in my seeming abandon of my health diet, I have been snacking on Lendy's choc wafers. Yes.... in 5 mins I gobbled half a packet of his choc wafers.
I also had a COKE, oily briyani rice.... wow.... what has happened. I assured Lendy, "my health eating habits will be BACK".... but not until I have had a feast of fat-filled food at chillis... yum... feel the urge for a big fatty juicy Chilli's burger rite now.
I guess it's kinda hard to continue my health diet coz its difficult not having the kitchen I want and the lifestyle I want. I will be BACK. The healty living will be back after I move in to Cyberjaya.
Off to Penang this week... taking a break with Hoe, Jimmy, Mel... That should be good.

BEING POSITIVE IS BEST AND HEALTHY
Previous blog was quite miserable. Hmmm... that's typical of feeling bad at a particular moment in time. Facing up to your dissapointments and regrets is always good.
Anyway, had a full weekend. Saturday was another weekend with Hoe, Jimmy and Mel. Night clubbing at crummy jeng-zouk coz had to meet Willy (mel's penang buddy). Sunday... futsal this time our guys all turned up. Sunday night, was interesting.... dinner at i-chiban and drinks at bangsar with friends from Penang and mel's friend from canada, Mary Gentleman (yes that's her real name). Good to catch up.
Of course, yesterday was a highlight. Getting my condo keys. Yes! At last!!! Woo-hoo!!! Now I got bigger headache as to where to get money for some reno.
Just after lunch. Raining in cyberjaya. To any of you, facing some downtimes, remember the saying of the crow, "It can't rain all the time....".
'Nuff said.

WHOLE WORLD CRUSHING ON YOU
I'm not a happy-happy person. That's not me. That's not Josh. In my miserable state of being, I honestly seek refuge in simple things to make me happy. Am I too complicated? Do I want too much out of life? Maybe. I do know that nothing works easy for me or I have never walked out an absolute WINNER in anything. NEVER EVER. Never ever got the BIG breaks I needed.... When I get one good thing happening, the next one is far, far away... applies to everything... job, business, whatever.
I want to be able to smile, able to laugh... but I know when I do .... somehow the world around me HATES IT. The world complains about me being miserable but when I try to change to a shiny happy person, everyone like gets miserable around me. Weird.
Sometimes I feel like the killer in the movie Se7en. "In this world you have to really hit someone on the head to make that person listen to you" or something like that.
Anyway, kudos to my family and mel for putting up with me. I know I cant stand me. I am utterly convince.. iamnotahappyperson.

SINKING FUND... EMPTY POCKETS
You know what bittersweet is? Now I do. The meaning is so clear. Har har... but this wasnt that bad... Well.... I finally got the VACANT POSSESSION letter (the one that tells you... Gee we would like to give you the keys to the condo that you are killing yourself paying every month for but now... us POOR CASH STARVED developers need to SUCK you MORE $$$$$.... So this PLUS that PLUS that equals....) .... RM1776.63. That's how much I had to pay. Crumbs. I even remember the figure so well coz I watched the developer admin person count my blood earned cash.... and this was doubly counted by my salesman.. .WOW LOOKING AT HIM COUNT MONEY ... This guy is loaded. His smile is so "I'm an honest salesman" , remembers everyone by name ..... no wonder he is the top salesman there... unbelievable....
So it's SWEET that I got that darn VACANT POSSESSION letter to get my keys (not yet ... now I have to get ANOTHER LETTER telling me YES I CAN GET THE KEYS NOW).... its BITTER I'm starved of more blood earned money.... haha
The only thing that I'm a bit POed right now is the RM250 per quarter sinking fund. Gosh. Sinking fund = money to paint the exterior walls and pool cleansing. Great. Anyway, guess I am a contributing MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY.
Thanks for sinking me, SINKING FUND..... And I'm POed at the damn officer I called regarding the payment details. On the letter it says "CALL US FOR DETAILS" but when you call its like ... "HEY STUPID PURCHASE, ITU PUN TAK FAHAM.... AKU MALAS NAK LAYAN"... Dammit... take my money ... you should treat me like KING STOOPID - CUSTOMER IS KING!!!
That's Malaysian customer service for you. Anyway I cant complain much since he wasnt that rude... It was just the sound of his voice that made me feel that way.
HOUSING DEVELOPERS = Selling you a concept that will be totally different from what you purchase + EVERYTHING CAN before you buy to CANNOT or PAY MORE + GIVE YOU A BOX with concrete walls to live in and promise a paradise
PURCHASER = Poor middle class earner spends almost all his half salary on a "dream" home every month which will cost him more hair loss in more payments, renovation..... just to taste that new comfort
'Nuff said.

PURCHASER = Poor middle class earner spends almost all his half salary on a "dream" home every month which will cost him more hair loss in more payments, renovation..... just to taste that new comfort
'Nuff said.

WHERE AND WHEN
Went out with Hoe on Saturday. Mel, he and I had breakfast at Eatsun. Service kinda bad this time. We teased Hoe, saying that everywhere we eat with him, service turns bad.... like the other time at Planet Hollywood.... when he didnt get his change and his card was frauded supposedly by one of the waitresses (have boycotted Planet since)... like the first time at Fish n' Co where he and I waited 40 minutes long for our Fish n' rice..... and this time at Eat Sun imagine the dim sun tolley lady, brought the dim sum stuff to the table behind us and then skipped to the table in front of us not before I screamed, "HELLO???"... HOE MAYBE IT REALLY IS YOU! Har, har....
Anyways, we dropped Mel off to work after walking around Bkt Bintang and drinks at dome together with Jimmy. Jimmy got a new Sony Ericsson Handphone...
I met up with Hoe again at Taman Billion at 5:45... parents attended the evening service at Charis... with only a handful of people.... it was raining... Malaysians are very fond of blaming on the rain.... "Late for work - RAINING LARRR".... "Played football badly today... RAINING LARRR"..... "Couldn't met up with you... RAINING LARRR"....
Anyways, Hoe and I headed off to PJ and found this great wardrobe maker... I potentially could now do a nice walk-in at a low price.... Hopefully can get it done next month....
We had dinner at Ikano, looked around Harvey Norman, Apple Studio, Ikea and reached home at 10pm.... A full day.
Mel had to work again on Sunday... too much work and stress..... Hoe and I and the rest of the guys played our usual Sunday futsal... We dont understand why this week our team was not clicking and subsequently lost 0-4, 0-1, 0-4 in 3 FIFA sized sessions... Crumbs... had a succesful session at the end thought against a Malay team and netted a hatrick though my team crumbled 4-5.
I wonder if anyone READS or could EVER be entertained by this thoughtless stuff I'm bloggin'. Anyway - it helps me remember WHERE this happened and WHEN.....

FINALLY
Went for the launch of my condo block yesterday. Will officially get keys this week on the 14th. Went into my block but of course couldnt get into my place. But took a look at one of the opened units. Pretty happy with the overall design of the place.
Happy that:
1. the clubhouse looks great
2. the clubhouse is just next to my block and the block swimming pool in front is not too big but looking good... choice of 2 pools
3. Each unit comes with entrance iron gate. The entrance door looks nice
4. Nice slate tiles for balcony and entrance
5. Good lift and spacious area to walk outside condo
Not too happy:
1. with the exterior building paint.... doesnt look long lasting. crummy.
2. Hopefully the bathroom has a raised divider between shower and toilet as the showroom else extra cost to make that
3. That i have parquet floors... but I knew that long ago anyway...
So we (+ parents and mel) got there about 10:45... sat down and the first thing plastered at the entrance of cyberia was... "Welcome Ong Ka Ting... congrats on winning election...." with Barisan logo next to it... Ho hum...
Anyway, we proceded to park it what would possibly be my car park bay. Took our seats.... And the usual speeches ensued with your usual PA system that you wouldnt be able to hear what the speaker was saying but only applaud when he says "Sekian... terima kasih".... While that was going on, Mel and I went around my block to check out the area....
... So Mel had the idea to wait next to the makan area (anticipating the Malaysia rush for food and not queing up). When it was time to eat, everyone like came rushing for food (they would end up complaining about later on), and everyone in typical Malaysia fashion was shoving and pushing. One old lady like virtually plonked like 1/4 of the bowl of chicken curry on her mee hoon. What's wrong with Malaysians.... Mel said " I really wonder how the lady is gonna finish that plate of meehoon and chicken curry"....
Anyway we found a good spot and proceeded to finish our snack/lunch. When we were done I carried the plates back and my dad was looking at me wondering why I am clearing up... Mel and I lauched into preaching to my parents the concept of "clearing up your own dishes" how by studying abroad we were educated with better "attitudes".... Well, it was proven true, as I brought the stack of plates to the kitchen area, the MKLand lady was probably shock/happy/in state of disbelief and she asked me "do you want a drink... hot or cold... would that be one cup or two".... PROOF THAT if you treat others good and had some class/manners you will be treated with the same respect (not all the time but at least a chance of that kind of treatment). So with that evidence, I reinforce my earlier "surmon" to my parents hahahaha... and mel underline the fact my saying, "This world would be a better and cleaner place if everyone just cleared their OWN junk".
Anyway had a blast at futsal yesterday... Played and challenged a new group, played in a larget fifa sized turf.... with Hoe, Kit and myself scoring. Fun.

SEMINARS AND HOTELS
Back in office. Was in Mandarin last week on Thursday for Customer Contact World and ..... I won the Genesys contest and took hope RM200 worth of Isetan vouchers... Yippppeeee.... So glad to win something...(AT LAST)
Friday, sales seminar at Mandarin Oriental.... Tea break snacks was ok but seems not to be as good or less variety than last year.... But yesterday and Monday had a seminar at Westin.... the seminar was really useful for my nature of work.... and the inbetween snacks were really well crafted and yummy.... YUM.... YUM.... nice small cakes, egg tarts, green tea wafers with chocolate coating, nice selection of tea picked from a box (earl grey, darjeeling, fruits, jasmine), nice coffee, cold noodles in a small bowl with prawns, kishe and a really yummy lunch at one of the restaurants at Westin with nice Pumpkin soup for starters, steak/salmon fillet for main course and a piece of tiramisu cake...
To top it off Westin has really nice modernistic decor. I really like the hotel.... Maybe will spend a night there someday.

A WEEKEND OF TWO FAMILIES
Mel's parents and sis drove down to KL during the weekend. I'm sure she missed her family.... We never realize how much we miss our family when we are away.... Anyway went to Fish 'n Co for a nice family dinner on Friday nite.... It's a good place for chit-chat and good eats. 7 persons and the bill was only RM150... Not bad..... Anyways it was a marathon shopping day on Saturday .... at 1 Utama and Ikano.... what did I buy:
1. Nayonaise (Soy-based mayonaise), Sunflower seeds, Organic sugar and Miso RM60
2. 200g KimChi from the Korean Fair in Ikano RM5
And then Ikea for dinner.... including Kit who came along.
Sunday... breakfast at EatSun Imbi and Times Square after that. 2:30 pm ... Mel's parents headed home, my parents and Mel and I headed home, and myself ... futsal after that... It was terrible... 7 of us .... If there were AT LEAST 8 it would have been alrite since we got a small futsal court... but nooooooooooooo....... Hafiz (Mr Eligible Bachelor CLEO hahahahaha) had to get a sprained knee, Hoe's friend couldnt make it and Jimmy and etc etc etc..... grrr....
Well it's Tuesday now... in a new office area.... I guess I'm grateful... I got a good position against a partition and got a window view of the Koi Pond.... heh heh.... Yesterday was just moving and cleaning up....
What a boring blogger I am... no thoughts, no rants or raves.... just an everyday record.... haahahhaahahahah....
I guess it's funny... I think about so much stuff all the time .... when it comes to blog it's refreshing instead and being the moody person I am.... I want blog to be a little light hearted I guess.....

DINNER AT CITY SQUARE
Half day of packing at my workplace. We be shifting up to the 2nd Level.... gonna be more cramped as our previous, spacious office space will be rented out....
Mel was buzzing me to come pick her up early... In the end... I arrived at her office building at 7 and.... had to wait. So I treated myself to some mushroom soup and teh-o at AROMAs (this cafe at City-Square). The mushroom soup was kinda cool, with its bowl made out of bread (that's probably why I ordered it). Quite yummy, and nice to eat off the top cover. Check it out:
Anyways, Mel eventually finished at 7:45 and we were too lazy to eat anywhere else so we ended up eating there and the food wasn't so good. Her fried rice was pretty ok, but my marina spaghetti was like really soggy and dull tasting.....
Got back home, about 9.... see Malaysia go down 0-1 to South Korea (dubious penalty, if you asked me) in an Olympic Qualifier. Not bad performance from our lads.....
Well, that's all there is .... another day passed. Got up this morning thinking where on earth I'm gonna get money to do some or any renovation when my condo is ready. Ah well......

ELECTION, SICKNESS AND ANOTHER WEEKEND GONE BY
Yes, it was my first election yesterday. 118 Setiawangsa. Quick and easy. Mel had high fever. On MC today. She's really sick. Hope she gets well soon. Sunday - Went to vote at noon. Mel went to clinic. Took everyone to EatSun Imbi for dim sum and roast duck.... Walked around Lot 10. Came back... Mel bedridden with fever.... Me at PS2.... helped parents to cook dinner.... Dad marking election wins all night. Up to 3 watching election. Portsmouth relief by beating neighbours Southamption 1-0.
Saturday - went to Great Eastern Mall. Mel and I as usual will check on our favourite hamster which we call "punky" at the pet store. He's really cute but we can't buy him coz we dunno where to put him or who is gonna take care of him.
Anyway, we had lunch at Cozy Corner.... boy that place is making lotsa $$$. The food is not too bad though. Then we went to Mac Asia to get a laptop protector case... then I bought some groceries. That was pretty much it.
Right now??? I'm reallllly sleeeeeeeeeeeeeepy. Didnt sleep well last night.... A colleague asked me in the men's just now,"not enuff sleep? Shift into cyberjaya already???", to which i replied, "If I have shifted to cyberjaya I would have ENUFF sleep!".....

INCUBUS IN MALAYSIA
Yes it happened. Incubus came and we went and sweated and rocked all night. Read Su-Yin's post ... I couldn't agree more...
Yup stuck between buncha posers and dum mat rocks who dont give a rat's ass about Incubus... Anyway after the sardine can experience of Linkin Park the bunch of us got smarter this time and kinda like form a half circle ... and we manage to stick with each other all the way till the end... mel in the middle..... Hoe, Jimmy,Vince,Rachel and meeself.
The concert itself? Really good. Happy with the performance I just love it that Incubus sing for themselves and no other. No kiss ass stupid statements like ".... this is the best crowd we have ever played to BLAH BLAH BLAH...".... they just played stuff from their new album and stuff from science, make yourself and morning view.
They didnt even play Pardon Me, or other fan favourites which to my opinion was cool. And GREAT that it ended with a chill number ... "ARE YOU IN"...
Well it was enjoyable and am happy with the concert. Had a blast. Didnt have much problem parking, just parked furthur and walked furthur...
Great stuff...Mel and I really enjoyed ourselves.

THE QUEST FOR GOOD LOOKING COMPUTERS
Blame it on Apple. Dunno how they do it, but they make PCs look cool. Place a Low-Yat PC in the living room, everyone will go like "eek..."... Put an iMac there and everyone will go like "cool......". First Apple came out with those translucent iMacs in 1997 and when PC makers tried to copy it, it turned out shit. Then they changed and when for this pearl white look.... and now the Apple higher end line sports silver. And what needs to be said about those savvy iPods????
Anyway, Mel got her iBook this week. Yup. We went to Macasia on Friday and got her spanking new, cutesy iBook. I asked Mel to max her RAM to 640MB to ensure everything runs smoothly. The good news was that her new iBook came free with an Airport Extreme card worth RM399 and she received 10 lucky draw vouchers for the lucky draw at the new Macasia 1 Utama store opening.
I was away in Pahang on Saturday visiting Tasik Bera so I couldn't go with her for the opening. Sadly, she didnt win an iPod and got some gifts like mouse pads, GYM vouchers this weird looking soft-toy which the guy said can be used for cleaning your laptops screen (imaging rubbing the belly of a doggie on ur laptop screen.... huh?)
We both spent some time on the iBook and it really is sooooo nice. I mean you practically want to hug the little thing (which Mel did). Anyways, after all that, Mel didnt really have a budget to buy the Apple mouse. So Sunday we went on a quest to find a PC mouse that can match her iBook. I told Mel don't worry there has to be one. It was TOUGH! All the PC mouses where weird colors and shapes and when something looked good, they had this ugly logo pasted on it. Can you imagine having this Taiwan brand mouse sitting next to your classy iBook.... yuck.
Finally, i spotted one.... It had no branding, it was translucent like an Apple mouse and despite being a 2 button mouse, it had no button cuts.... seamless. Wow. And it costs? RM 27. Yup - unbelievable.
OK, I had to get my PC fix too. I have 2 goals this year for my PC workstation - get the BEST looking PC configuration (Mac-Like) for my video editing suite and get a Mac at the end of the year....
During New Year in Singapore I spotted this cool looking PC desktop - Packard Bell... Piano white, very Mac-like and nice rounded curves. Can be matched with my creature speakers.... Anyway I stumbled on it in Low-Yat. Unbelievable. Dunno where they got it from but they were selling the case. RM120. Can you believe it. So I fitted in a powerful Gigabyte Board and a Pentium 2.4GHz proc with 256MB DDRAM and RM1200 later I had my new editing system (minus the hard drives, DVD-writer etc.)
Hehe. I got my PC fix too. Now I got bigger problems. Finding a matching monitor and keyboard and mouse. Darn. The quest goes on.....
