TRAGIC! 3 LAPTOPS STOLEN
Today (Tuesday), I woke up in the morning thinking "Gee... now that I am updating my blog regularly, I wonder what eventful event would transpire today to blog about.... "It's probably gonna be a typical day...", I thought to myself... fat chance.
First of all, it took me almost 1 AND A HALF HOURS to get to Subang Tech park for a presentation with my 2 associates from Spore Mr. BL and Mr. T. Round and round I went before I finally found the place. The worse part of it was the refusal of the guard to let anyone in, citing limited parking lots... I had to park my car inn a lot that was about 10 minutes walking distance. Anyway, after the meeting we decided to have lunch in PJ together with one of our business partners.
Well, BL wanted to have lunch at this place called UNIQUE SEAFOOD which is somewhere off Section 14 PJ... HE'S BEEN THERE BEFORE AND HE LIKED IT, so we searched for it with such effort and diligence, making 3 long calls for directions in the process. Alright, fair enough... I parked my car outside the nearby Wisma Celcom... it was a busy area and we went in to have some good dim sum.... We were later joined by our 2 employees of our business partner 30 minutes later and after 1.5 hours of "business conversation", we walked out with full, satisfied stomachs.
Stepping out towards my car with T... I was curious to notice as to WHY my hazard light was turned on. Then T said S**T. My worse fears were confirmed. CAR BREAK IN.
My left front passenger windscreen was smashed in. Thanks to the tinting, the glass wasn't splattered badly... a huge chunk of it was on the ground outside on the grass. I knew, I knew, I knew this was bad and feared the worst.... I immediately rushed to open the boot and ..... ALL GONE.
The loss? The list in no particular order of importance:
1. 3 IBM SERIES COMPANY LAPTOPS
2. 1 rather old K500i Sony Ericsson (with an LCD screen that doesn't light up - no loss except some numbers) as well as my 016 simcard... :( ... now I have lost contact with some people whom I will never ever be able to contact again.... ever)
3. 1 ORGANIZER - which was mine, however the bad news was my CHEQUE BOOK and 2 BANK BOOKS were inside.
4. T's PASSPORT! Gasp. That's gonna a big major problem/headache for him.
Somehow, the 3 of us were rather cool about the entire situation - unbelievably calm. Maybe it was the fact that I had an excuse now not to finish my due powerpoint presentation for my business partner... maybe it was the thought of a spanking new replacement notebook... or maybe it was the joy of the dim sum...
OK, first things first - block the cheque book, sim card and bank book... I called RHB customer service hotline for 15 mins and no one seemed to pick up the DAMN CALL! What kind of service level is this... I finally succeeded to get through by calling the branch instead. Just swell. After blocking all the damn cards, I proceeded to dial 999 and ask the police for the next course of action. "Kereta boleh jalan ke....?", spoke the voice on the other side. I was thus instructed to drive my car to SS2 Police Station. Placed my newspaper on the driver's seat to avoid getting my ass full of glass and then drove with a broken left side window.
Getting to the station - there was already a QUEUE with all front desk officers busy. Wow. So much crime going on, I thought. After filing my report, we proceeded to the nearby mamak to wait for the Sergeant’s questioning session.
In our wonderful conversation with the Sergeant who was more interested in small talk then the matter at hand, he mentioned that my case is the NINTH related case TODAY. Apparently the crime rate in Selangor is the highest compared to even Penang and Ipoh combined, with most of the crime concentrated in the PJ area.... "95% Chinese and orang kaya", he said.
Just swell. My dear dad drop by as he was in the vicinity to see how everything was... and after we all got a copy of the report, I drove my car to Proton Mutiara Damansara to get it fixed up. Ho hum. T had to check in to a hotel and had to sort out his passport issues the following day so he was forced to take a "vacation". BL returned to Spore minus a laptop.
Unbelievable. According to the police, the thieves used a sensor to detect laptops. We had one eyewitness from the opposite UM motor, who said the transgression was committed by 2 Chinese guys in a black Proton Wira.
The funny thing is, just the week before, Devan and I were asking Kevin aka Mr. Mozilla Monster - WHY CARRY YOUR LAPTOP TO THE KARAOKE??? Why don't just leave it in the car like the two of us, relax nothing can happen".... Well, Kevin - why didn't I follow your precautionary measures.... GAAKKK. 2 years of work, all gone down the drain - and for the umpteenth time, as everyone has been asking - I did not back the stuff up.
What a "swell" day. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE EVERYONE AND DON'T LEAVE YOUR LAPTOPS IN YOUR CAR.

A DAY AT WORK
Can you believe it. It's been a long day at work (and I didn't even get to the office). In one day, I met 2 business partners, 1 solution partner, made bout 5 calls to Singapore associates, answered about 10 calls from partners, made almost double of that to colleagues, boss and other partners, worked on a solution presentation, compliance statement, answer e-mails in the morning and for my "after work" work I worked with 1 copywriter, art director and designer not to mentioned trashing out ideas over coffee bean till midnite and let's not forget the 100km spent to and fro between cyberjaya and PJ.
Today I parked my tired Gen.2 at over 8 locations, met up and talked to 19 people and had a variety of roti telur, chap fan and nasi goreng kampung for meals.
Just your typical Josh day. I am even in my tie and slacks as I type this.

SUPERMAN RETURNS
Well done Bryan Singer. Just watched the much anticipated summer blockbuster at TGV with Lan to catch Bryan Singer's take on the Man of Steel. Instead of a brand new Supes, Mr. Singer has decided to make a "sequel" of some sorts, and I have to say the coolest thing about Superman Returns is its nostalgia of tying back to the effective 1978 movie.

Brandon Routh has an amazing resemblance to Christopher Reeve (especially as Clark Kent), and does a decent job in his big screen debut. The scene that blew me away was the "sunset" fly-by at the end which was a perfect homage to Christopher Reeves - the EXACT same angle, same shot and same smile on Supes... Awesome.
The only challenge was getting movie tickets - from CineLeisure to GSC and finally as expected we ended up at good old 1U TGV. Old, cheap and available (RM9). A nice cap to a weekend. Long live Superman.

MY PARENTS 20 SECONDS OF FAME
Well, Proton finally launched its much anticipated Satria Neo last week. Not bad, I must say. Better quality, better build and a nice looking car... I noticed better padding, better hinges and the important part is that Proton has used a much better power-window system this time. The doors are solid and its the nicest looking Proton ever...
Anyways, enough about the car. It was truly my parents 20 seconds of fame. We met up at Mutiara Damansara for the launching and my parents got interviewed by TV3. He he. Good for them.
Unfortunately - TV3 billed them RM250 for the footage on VHS (expensive!). So people, if you get caught on television, make sure you record it and not buy it from the TV stations....
My dad gave the best comment from the interviews "...Bentuk Cantik... Seronok.... Tapi roof memang rendah...." ... my mom obviously caught off guard just spewed out this comment - " .... I like the BACK ... it's like EYES".... HAHAHAHAH.
To give them a bit more glam, I edited a short 5 minute clip of their Satria Neo experience, tidying up the grainy video, interspacing it with clips of the Satria Neo and background music track into a nice DVD for them to carry around.

YAHOO FINALLY
Finally, Yahoo! has released a new version of Messenger for Mac. Wonderful. It even supports my cheap RM60 webcam.
Thus ends my suffering of poor messenging clients on my Mac Mini.

The English players stare in disbelief. We all did too.
DIFFERENT WORLD CUP SAME STORY
Yes. We lost - AGAIN. What makes it more painful this time is that we were the deserving side. There we were, all assembled at Food Foundry Section 17, it was by far the largest gathering among friends in England jerseys together.
It was a lacklustre performance in the first half. But we knew, as the game moved along, England would switch to a more attacking 4-4-2, and with Aaron Lennon poised to come on, we were pretty sure we would able to come out tops over the Portugese.
What the F is wrong with FIFA? How could you assign an Argentinian referee to officiate the match? The Argies have a long grudge history with the Three Lions as well as the fact that the got bundled out by hosts Germany yesterday.
Devan, my good friend came to the Foundry just in time to watch together as we all scratched our heads wondering why for Fs sake did Rooney get sent off. It was diabolical. The attitude of the referee and that of major jack-ass Christiano Ronaldo.
Well, 10 against 11. But England played with a lot of heart and deserved to win it. Then came the penalties. I told Lan earlier before the game that if it goes to penalties I might as well just drive off because England would lose. I was right. I should have.
Unbelievable. Few months ago, you would bet your mortgage on Lampard and Gerard scoring penalties. They do this day in and day out in the EPL. At least just ONE of them missing is acceptable (bullocks Frank Lampard)... but BOTH??? C'mon. All I knew is if Gerard had scored, England would be through.
Well it's over. The world cup is over for me. Once again, FIFA has managed to mastermind another controversial and sad end for England. Let's look forward to Euro (ho-hum).
To Hafiz, Lan, Gary, Devan, Kit and my cousins - your undying loyalty is commendable. Keep it up guys. Hafiz you summed it up well yesterday - "I DON'T WANNA BE FUCKING 80 TO SEE ENGLAND WIN THE WORLD CUP".

MY FIRST PROTON - NO MONEY WHAT TO DO
Welcome blog.
Do I really need to blog. No matter how I resolve to start blogging I never do. When I started this, nobody even knew what a blog site is. Now, blogs have become some person's "claim to fame".
Well - a blog is after a all an online journal. So what shall I rant about today?
Since I bought my new car, will just mention a bit bout that,
Yes, I ended up with a Proton and a GEN.2 at that. In the end in came down to the $$$ so the Suzuki Swift was out. At 55K the GEN.2 had the looks and power (1.6 manual) but we all know about its poor QC history with regards of the interiors, doors blah blah blah.
Well, I have to say I am rather satisfied. Anyway my salesman gave damn good support and I ahve to thumbs up for that. Maybe sales have not been as high as Proton so customer service is rather excellent for my part hahahahaha.
The showroom at Mutiara Damansara looks rather nice and posh. OK on to the car. I picked it up on Thursday and I am already almost at the 1K km mark (of course staying at Cyberjaya has a lot to do with that).
Exterior - nice Midnite Blue color. This is the best "Black" color I have ever seen...
Interior - hmmm... thank God the new "version" this year has a Black top dash as opposed to the previous cream color. 55K what to complain....
The seats are nice but they should have been black too. Hmmm... probably need to see if I can change them to leather next time. The semi bucket seats are nice.
Overall, this is probably the best I could do with a tight budget.

THE NEVERENDING STAR WARS
Everyone knows I am the biggest star wars fan. While everyone held back and just donned their t-shirts for the EPISODE III first screening (except my cousin shaun in singapore - he is even worse than I am) and at most just brought their lightsabers, I came in a full last-minute assembled vader suit (thanks to my dad mostly)....
Well Nov 1 is the date that Revenge of The Sith comes to DVD (the original not cetak rompak version) and I eagerly await screening all the movies back to back in pristine high-quality DVD. Was thinking borrowing the office projector to do this...
So why cant Lucas FIX EVERYTHING with episodes IV,V and VI? I mean just freaking do it for goodness sakes. He made a mistake by already "fixing" some portions in the special editions. And for the DVD re-release he fixed only another small bit. Since he already committed to those fixes he should fix everything!!!! I got some suggestions for you Mr. Lucas, and the FANS DEMAND THESE FIXES TODAY:
STAR WARS
1) Please CGI all lame-ass motion control models, like the millenium falcon chase with the star destroyers, and the slow tie-fighters in the death star escape chase
2) Please do something about Yavin hanger. Please make it look busy and bigger and with people running about and ships taking off
3) Please change the dumb computer graphics for the death star briefing.
4) Please overdub some vocals for the unimportant actors as the audio sounds dated
5) Pleaase fix the ugly asteriods when the falcon comes out of hyperspace. It should look like the ones in attack of the clones
6) Please make sure NO MORE lightsaber color problems
7) Please cgi new falcon leaving death star. the old one looks so so so LAME
EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
1) Please CGI all tauntauns
2) Please CGI yoda so it looks the same as other episodes
3) Please CGI the WAMPA
RETURN OF THE JEDI
1) The ewoks mouths dont move. Do something
2) The ewok suits look like suits. Do something
3) Please make sure NO MORE lightsaber color problems
4) Please please please remove that black splotch on the emperors cape
5) Please CGI the rancor
And not forgetting....
PHANTOM MENACE
1) Please CGI yoda

WELCOME TO PARADISE
Back to the blog. This has seriously got to stop... I mean one blog entry every few months, what gives...
September. And as usual I am extremely busy to the ones who know me closely and always fighting for time, both for work and fun.
Fun is seriously missing right now. Work is great because when you have finished projects and have achieved what you sought out to do, i.e. give a great presentation, make a major deal... the sense of acheivement is great. Like scoring a goal in extra time...
Hoe has been bugging me to get the PSP. It is very compelling reason for me to get one because of one game that comes out this month - WINNING ELEVEN 9.... well, to this I almost committed but Steve Jobs had to put a spanner in my plans by introducing the gorgeous IPOD nano. Pencil thin - IMPOSSIBLY SMALL.
PSP - Great games, not great at songs, acceptable at video, expensive games, lack of productivity software (Won't help in my work), Web browser, slightly big-gotta lug in around in a bag
IPOD NANO - Slings round your neck with the optional lanyard, impossibly small, very few games and not exactly cutting edge (PARACHUTE???), great music player, keeps calendars and contacts, picture viewer...
Well, just have to find excuses to buy BOTH of them.
Anyway - on streamyx. I am quite happy to finally get my streamyx in Cyberia after weeks of shouting and screaming between me, my dad and telekom. Guess what, the phone lines went down 2 days ago and it's possibly the work of MyKris as the Telekom guy found the cales plugged out in the riser.... What a loser.
Well, I can say my parents have got used to staying here pretty well. And my dad is already involved in cyberia pizza and pasta place at the clubhouse. The great thing above living here is that you can directly come home via ERL and efficient feeder bus service...that's how my mom comes home every day from work.
Ill be in Pattaya next week on a business trip. Cool. Can't wait.
Chern, if you read this - sorry you got robbed. Poor you.

It's not been an easy month. I guess I didn't want to come back to blogging but I guess I might as well.
My grandma has passed on been about almost a month now. I miss her tremendously. Leukemia, diabetes she fought hard. She fell down, was admitted and 1 week afterwards her kidneys failed.
Mustered enough cash to send my mom to visit her. She died 3 days later.
Just 2 weeks before - my granduncle died (dad's side). So now there are no more granduncles on my dad's side.
And I have no grandparents anymore. Mama was my dear and only grandma. 5 years ago I sent her to KLIA and been meaning to visit her ever since. Now she's gone and I can't see her again.
Last week, Mel's niece passed away. She was only 23/24.
I've had enough of death to last this whole year. Everything has died this month.
Mama was the symbol of the previous generation. She was the strength and symbol of youth for the grandchildren.
Now we have to finally grow up. I don't know what to express in this blog or what to say. I don't care who reads this or not.
I miss mama. I love u mama.

Greetings bloggers and viewers.... Mesa back.
REVENGE OF THE SITH
The hype is boiling. This looks to be the most kick-ass star wars yet. Unfortunately some joker has been sending out a ms doc with a lot of pics and spoilers. To quote what my friend Kumar told me, "you have already waited for 3 years what is 2 more months?". I wanna keep away from such things now or else the movies impact would get watered down.
EXAMS ????
Had 2 weeks of non-working (not 100 percent still had to do some work) bliss in Singapore last month to take a course for one of apps I am supporting. Tension when came back. Exam... glad I passed phew...... so glad so glad so glad. Now I feel more "qualified" in my new job.
CNY
Actually celebrated CNY in Cyberjaya and KL for THE FIRST TIME. It was pretty neat. Never done that before (and in my house too).
THE GANG
Yes, you guys... life is more interesting or bitchy thanks to all of you. You know who you are... thanks for NOT celebrating me birthday muahahahah.
MEL AND BIRTHDAY DINNER
Thanks for a great bday dinner at Avanti's. That is a really nice place. Best dinner I ever had despite only averaging 3 hours of sleep for the past 3 days before the dinner.
WHY BLOG WHY BLOG
I dunno. I am getting horrible at this. Utterly horrible. Well, something better than nothing.
'till next entry. Ciao.

Time to start blogging again. Wow when was the last entry?? November????
Missed blogging about the Tsunami (I wuz in Penang when it happened) about this and that.
Job
Well 6 months going into my new job. it's been challenging, but this is THE job that I am enjoying. It's not really what I planned to do as a career but I am here, and here is where I'll be.
Cool company but tough targets. Well, I'll be hoping to get better at what I do and take my certifications asap. It's good teamwork as far as colleagues go, with only one guy making it a bit tough for me but hey - what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger....
Mel
Mel is doing great in her job ... will someone pls give her a raise / promotion. She's talented and hardworking and determined..... I guess we are trying to plan and look at how to improve our relationship as well. Relationships have ups and downs but like everything, if both parties have the same goals and head towards the same direction, things would work out great....
Parents and Cyberia
Parents have been supportive as always and have adapted well to the new hope except that we still have lotsa clearing to do with regards to the old place....
Other Stuff...
1) Well our little old futsal team now has a name and we are getting better and more united. Here's our team name (don't laugh) UNITED COLOURS FOOTBALL CLUB - UCFC.... Arrrhhh it's okay you can go ahead and laugh...
2) Some old pals got married - Chew Foo got married, here's to you pal...
3) Need to touch base with friends working in KLCC and Maxis.... Steven, Weng Kai
4) Finally - I can afford an Apple. Awaiting to get my Mac Mini and iPod shuffle haha
Well, life although has been much of the same-old same-old does have its twists here and there. Here I am, working hard in the city centre, trying to make a living... There has to be more than this. I guess I am looking to some furthur financial stability and decide to do more to this limited life. Have always wished everyday if I could somehow turn in back a little... my advice to everyone is CHERISH these moments together and make the most of it.
On a final note, this year -CHILLIN and HANGING OUT seems to have started with a bang, as us friends Lan/Kit/Johan/S.Ann/Alvin/KC/Mel and Myself have just spend maybe a bit TOO MUCH TIME drinking and getting wasted... and KIT - how could we forget the RM61 per person KARAOKE session...
'Nuff said for now...

6:30... not a very good nite's sleep. Mel's been working late again...
Not much of a blogger... Let's see what am I really thinking about... Well before that some updates... I bought the star wars trilogy DVD region 1, probably the first copy that landed in tower records... Am still amazed at the awesome clarity (good work Lowry Pictures for the restoration)... wow....
Sunday futsal has been a bit slack in attendance due to the puasa month... seeing our usual gang cut in half, missing the LB guys. And guys who have been missing Tim, Jon, Hafiz, Gary - GET BACK TO THE PITCH!
My team Spurs is sucking ass again. I knew it. Just hope we can pull through this season and miraculously win something. At least we beat Bolton 4-3 in the FA Cup...
Owen still inspires me ... a striker with only half his pace nowadays but class finishing... 4 in 4 for Real Madrid...
Mirinda tied the knot with Yuen Meng - a nice and simple wedding. Was truly great. More weddings should be like that!
Got my dad a new mobile (Nokia 3120) ... Nice buy...Not a bad phone for the price (RM590 - after digi voucher RM450 = RM140 cash).... He is sooo happy he got a new phone... of course I got mine 1 month plus ago, a SE K500i.
Anyways, my dad job has been challenging but also exciting, rewarding and am i already bored working in klcc twin towers????? ACD, CMS, PDS, CTI blah blah blah - we got a great solution....
Finally got my CD player fixed in my car after many complaints from friends like Kit and Kim but all I got was this EL-CHEAPO Taiwan model...
Well gonna get that 1.5 hour sleep now before getting ready to work...

LONG LIVE CHICKEN RICE
So much for the long-awaited return to the blogging world. Yes it's now been almost like what? 3 months since my last entry.... It's 3:11 am now as I write this in my new home in cyberjaya.... yup, my free 1 year internet access provided by cyberia.... is so so slllooooooooowwwwwwww. Whaddya expect anyway?
Been a busy, busy 3 months. It's weird. Always been affluent to PCs but now all I think or have to think about is phone systems in my day job. It's pretty cool. Cool to know what lies behind that customer service desk... cool to know "hey that's my company's PBX in there ..." .... well cool for now.... anyway its been rather "interesting" getting to know so many people in my day job. Working in a small unit is great coz the politics are very much minimal... We live in a world of bitching, arse-kissing .... it makes me sick sometimes.... It's sad that your value of what you are is so often determined by what people say of you.... Living to someone else's standard.
On a happier note, today would be september 18 that means 3 more days to the official release of the star wars original trilogy special special edition DVD. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it... I bet someone has bootlegged it... and it could already be in Low Yat. Well, I'm just gonna wait patiently for this one. www.theforce.net for updated info.
Tonight marks the second nite I'm staying at my new place. It feels more comfortable now.
It also seems to be the time for company trips... In 2 weeks I will be flying to Cebu, Phillipines for a new fiscal year kick-off. Great. As I type this, Mel is on the road to Langkawi.
Let's see... let's talk about football. Great start to the EPL season. It's weird having an EPL without Michael Owen but we have seen some great first 5 matches played. Surprisingly my team, Spurs are still undefeated (although 3 matches were draws).... Looks like a much better team this year.
Before I log off... dunno why I keep thinking about chicken rice. There's something about chicken rice that I downright loathe yet there are times when it's like THE best food to fulfill your hunger pangs. White chicken, roast chicken, BBQ chicken, chicken leg, ngah choy, meatball soup and yummy margarine rice...... here's to chicken rice. LONG LIVE CHICKEN RICE.

REMOVED! From blog links across the world due to my inactivity....
FORGOTTEN! Due to my usual anti-social self...
DISBANDED! My underground grunge band, disbanded temporarily/permanently because everyone is doing their own thing nowadays...
What will I do? What will I do? HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA
Hell with all of you. Welcome blogging world. I'm back. The old boring Joshua blog is back, hopefully as boring as ever.
KLCC WORKING LIFESTYLE
KLCC ... KLCC... How I love thee.... Yes, I am now where the "action" is. Centre of the city, Hub of activity. Hmmm.... Everyday, I see people walking, walking, walking. I see foreigners by the truckloads coming to visit the skybridge, that day I even directed a bunch of myanmar tourists to twin towers....
Yes, truly I am an extreme person... From the quietness of Cyberjaya to one extreme - KLCC. Gosh, I really love working in KL.

Well, lots of developments. Mel also moved into her new rented place in Duta/Segambut area. More renovation on my cyberjaya home... And agony of course... England crashing out in the quarterfinals of Euro.
Well, its a new beginning for the second half of the year... Gasp.. it's already July...... So much to do and so little time....

WONG YO PING - WATCH OUT!
I went over to try the much touted by management-5 million-clubhouse facilities at my cyberia condo last weekend. Bastards. Although Mel enjoyed the swim, I didnt, being too enraged by the site of desperate, pathetic beings(presumably from mmu) desecrating the clubhouse facilities. Upon questioning, the lame guards just said, they had authority to use full facilities by the customer service.
What bull. Everything I didnt wanna see I saw. Firstly bunch of guys from dunno which African country using the gym (definately from LUCT)... I'm sure those guys had no access but the "imported" guards where probably too chicken shit to do anything.
The pool, as predicted the desperate ahbengs were taking turns dumping their fully clothed and shoed pals into the pool... and laughing and laughing their head off.
Checked with management today and they said a resident booked it. But she had no access to the pool and gym. Well, I got a look at the booking form from the guard the other day, and MISS WONG YO PING of whatever of mmu... your friends are one pathetic and desperate group of ppl. You probably think you are so cool booking the clubhouse for them...
I am totally irked by the entire incident. I mean these blasted tenants have their own pool and barbeque pit. If I was a tenant, but nooooo they had to feel great using the new clubhouse.... Hey, if I were a tenant I would respect others privacy and rights. Of course these ppl dont think like that, all they think of is themselves. They would even sell out their close friends for 100 bucks, I bet.
We will see, the fun/hell of living with students has only just begun.... No worries my investment is protected, I can always be a landlord later if I hate living there.... but I'm not gonna chicken out... submitting a formal complaint letter to the TAN SRI of cyberia today... couse everywhere you go, no matter how expensive, gated community of whatever you have to put up with ppl spoiling facilities, poor building management, politics and crap. Thats why a RESIDENT COMMUNITY is so important.
NUFF SAID but not NUFF DONE.

MEANT TO LIVE
I believe in God. I believe in peace. I believe we were meant to live for so much more. The whole idea is peace from within before peace on the outside....
Haven't felt like this in a while. Much has happened this past few days, running around meeting so many different people... so tired and drained!
Mel, baby you are so important to my life and I'm so glad for your energy.
All I wanted to say, there must be a reason we were made. Look at our body, how well designed it is, the birds, the animals this world. Unbelievable.
"We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life, yeah
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves? " .... Switchfoot, 'Meant to Live'...

THE IMPORTANCE OF SPACE
Ever yone needs their space. They need time to recollect thoughts, increase their understanding and plan out what to do next... "Absense makes the heart grow fonder" is true when you are separated from your close ones, even for a short period of time.
You always have to find the right balance. Giving a person too much space could end up in you becoming seemingly uncaring/unbothered. Not giving space, choking a person would mean increased tension in a relationship, more fights....
But more importantly the space you need for yourself. When there is no one around only then you realise the importance of needing others and the feeling of loneliness... when there is no one around also then you can give a bit of your time to others who need it...
Anyway, it was a weekend where Mel was away, it felt great when she came back yesterday. It was a also great to spend time with some friends, like Kumar, Hoe, Kit, Chris, Lan, Sue-Ann.... Good to meet su-yin.blogspot.com in person... great car driving with Kit trying to lose someone's stalker....
There you go guys, less life report this time. Do you all really want all these boring thoughts and reflections??? HAHAHAHAHA... Don't think so rite? Even I'm falling asleep writing this blog....

LONG DAY OUT/MEL FOUND PLACE/FOOTBALL FEVER/LOST PDA/MOTHERS DAY
Ha ha ha ha.... Ironical, absolutely Fantastical, and Heart Warming... sounds like a movie... that would sum up the weekend. Sorry, Chern, but I am back to my blogging life report best thats what I am and what I will continue to do... While others bitch and rant about stuff on their blogs, I will be the usual BORING life report guy...
WELL? What happened.. Hmmm... where to start... Firstly Mel found a great place to rent ... Menara Duta 2 or something near Sri Hartamas... pretty good location, good facilities, great roomies and nice room + bathroom ... so happen i also had exactly enuff monies in my wallet to loan Mel first for the deposit... everything was working out, we managed to get the master bedroom.... after that it was seeming like a perfect day, everything was working out and then... finally i ate at Chillis. After that month+ long of health food obsession, and after deciding to cut down on expenses, Mel and I somehow found ourselves lunching at good ol Chillis. We didnt want to wait like everyone else (i mean 1/2 hour for a table at 2 pm ?? C'mon....) so we sat at the bar... nice lunch. You know what rocks about Chillis??? Free flow drinks, the ability to talk out loud.... yup... and a real humoungous fatty american BURGER...HAHAHAHAHA .... Well, sitting at the bar was kinda refershing change... although we didnt have a table, we got instant service... which I think is a good trade off.... anyways Alvin and Gabe dropped by while i was 76% done with my Burger.... so then I started my football talk which would last the whole day .... sorry guys... non-stop football critic... HAHAHAHAHAH
What proceeded was meeting up with Chern and then lets see where we went:
IKEA/IKANO (For Gabe, Alvin and Chern) -> KLCC -> Chillis -> Shopping mostly at Nautica Store -> Starbucks for drinks -> Kinokuniya (bought X-Men comic) -> Times Square -> Pizza Uno (Dinner) -> Bintang Walk (To Kill Time, waiting for 11pm to meet Lin Poh and friends) -> Lecka Lecko Gelato -> Bar Savant -> Nearby Malay Restaurant for drinks -> Coffee Shop (watch football) -> Home.
Phew... what a long long day. Yup between those locations.... it was footbal chat all day between myself, Gabe and Alvin... everyone wanted to have italian for dinner so everywhere was expensive so pizza uno was a pretty good choice... it was insane... we had to wait for linpoh and us guys were getting frustrated not able to chill down and just watch the bunch of live games that nite...
When we got to Bar Savant... man... there was NO SCREEN! And no screen at the adjoining clubs and restaurants.... WHAAAT THE HELL????? Anyways... I even went to Sheraton and couldnt find a damn sports bar/bar with a screen showing the EPL game. We sat down, had drinks at this malay restaurant and I asked Gabe to check out the chinese coffee shop at the end... Gabe came back triumphantly with 2 thumbs up! YESS!!! So us guys went over while the girls went to Bar Savant... Cool... got out football fix and great game Liverpool vs Birmingham...
Anyway, all that activity and dunno what I ate, affected my tummy so I headed over to Bar Savant after the game and passed my pda + keys to Mel... and went over to the nice super-clean Sheraton hotel toilet.... to cut the story short, my pda got stolen/lost .... anyway things like dat happen so its not mels fault, i blame the damn dishonesty of people nowadays...
MAKE SURE YOU DONT LEAVE THINGS LYING AROUND BAR SAVANT! DISHONEST WAITERS PROBABLY - PASS THE WORD...
Yup another place on the black list... And I happen to now agree with Alvin - don't go to places that dont have free flow water (like Pizza Uno)....
Hahahahha... really good places seem to have free flow water... Chillis, Fish n Co, hahahaha.
Anyway my black list isnt that long but Bar Savant is now in there, along with Zouk, along with Lorong Selamat Char Kuey Teow....
Sunday was the usual except it was a Happy Mothers Day and my mommie loves Fish n' Co and thats where we went....
Baby, dont feel bad about the PDA.... Am really touched you practically thrased and turned Bar Savant upside down searching for it, as well as interrogating the waiters and manageress.... Hehe...

BLOODY DEFECTS
... Yup, since no one is bloody around in the office - I decided to check out my condo defects. Man. Suffice to say I wasn't too please. The first time, I guess I was too excited about getting my place and the second time, was carried away with my friend telling me what's nice about my place.
Well, this time, with a clear mind and a useful flourescent lamp to light the rooms for me to check it out.... I headed to my condo for my next inspection...Man, when I see the finishing I want to FINISH the developer's HEAD OFF. Anyway, I guess Paramoden was in a hurry to ensure they get MMU and LUCT tenants in time for the June intake! True, enough, so many units were occupied on my block!
Anyway, dunno which bloody chinaman contractor they got, they better make good with my unit. So far, am moderately happy with the customer service, very happy about the facilities, dissapointed with the poor and rushed finishing, happy with the features like the alarm system, ethernet ports and centralized astro.
BUT: Why the hell you have a rule book that says occupants cant hang clothes in the balcony when all the damn students do it anyway. Ah well, you have to understand, living in a student infested area. Why the hell do you build a water outlet for all aircons but dont have a hole for piping for the compressor? Why do malaysia contractors do a sub-par job only to keep coming back later to fix it and spend more resources? BODOH! Do a good job the first time!
I can smile a bit. At least I know Mel and I can really make the place look good after they fix up the mess. Boy, oh boy, tomorrow we really gonna be kicking up a fuss at customer service....

I can smile a bit. At least I know Mel and I can really make the place look good after they fix up the mess. Boy, oh boy, tomorrow we really gonna be kicking up a fuss at customer service....

PENANG HOUSE
Just had lunch by myself. Had to do a few things: 1. pump petrol full tank RM 43.80... 2. withdraw money to pay bills.
So, drove to the nearest petrol station in Putrajaya. Despite Cyberjaya being so-called self supporting .... we don't have a bloody petrol station yet. Grrr.... Anyway pumped a full tank, was hoping the ATM was a RHB at Petronas... nope, no such luck.. Maybank instead... So, drove to the nearest RHB in Precinct-dunno-what. Managed to get a parking immediately in that busy area as some guy vacated his (thank you God for small things like that!!!). Anyways, had to make a decision where to fill my tummy. My choices were (at that building) Baker's St. Bakery, Mamak Nasi Kandar and guess what ... Penang House.... yes, Penang House, a branch of the money-making shop at Cyberjaya Street Mall.
A place where I remember ALWAYS having to wait like centuries for what I always order - Fried Rice ADD egg.... Hmm... went upstairs, opened the door, and there it was... Penang House, smart marketing and tactics and now bringing chinese food to the masses. Waiters and drinks were malay staff but the kitchen and owner all chinese. Man, they are making money. At first the crowd didnt seem to be that many so I decided to take the risk of waiting and order my usual FRIED RICE ADD EGG..... to my horror, there was this big order of like ta pau for the entire office by someone, and I ended up AGAIN waiting like 30 mins for my FRIED RICE ADD EGG... Same restaurant, same grumbling, same fried rice only in Putrajaya.... HAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHA.....

LONG WEEKEND REPORT WITH PICTURES
Friday nite: Mel and I bumming around with Chern, Gabe (just came from Penang) and Elliot. Mamak and then San Fran.
Saturday & Sunday & Monday: Mel and I 3 days 2 nights in Penang with Jimmy, Joyce and Hoe. Stayed at Leisure Bay, last-minute managed to get an apartment thanks to Mel's Dad... every hotel was booked. Took us like 7 hours just to get to Penang on Saturday. Gasp. Highway driving mostly by Jimmy and Hoe. In Penang, was me.... The usual things were done.... meals at Lorong Selamat and Swatow ..... night shopping at Bt. Feringgi... Shopping at Gurney and DVD hunting.... Other than that... Fun at the beach.... Dinner at Tambun (delicious... seafood for 5 at RM90 only can u believe it... crabs, prawns etc) ... the drive back to KL wasnt so bad... pretty smooth, arrived at midnight.
Anyways, still managed to watch footie with Hoe on Sunday nite at Tari Cafe (located just at the entrance of Leisure Bay).
Yesterday was quite fruitful... Yes, placed an order for my walk-in wardrobe at Sliderdrobe in PJ. Happy happy (except my wallet). Nothing really extravagant, but at least something close to what Mel and I designed... At my budget, this was a great buy.
Pictures description: Bangsar pics (Chern and Gabe), Penang Trip (3 pics only - Jimmy and Joyce, Hoe, Jimmy and Joyce again), Cyberia condo (views from balcony pool, clubhouse and poolside, balcony, master bedroom )

FINALLY A LONG WEEKEND
Yup a four-day weekend. Rejoice. Time to unwind, kick back and relax. Hope it turns out that way! Tomorrow we will get on the road to Penang, Hoe, Jimmy, Joyce, Mel and I. May it be a fun trip.... Amazingly we managed to get accomodation at the last minute... thanks to mel's dad. An apartment in Bt. Feringgi. Cool. Work is slow, with the anticipation of upcoming projects. Here is the cycle of working: complain no work ---- rejoice got work ----- complain too much work ----- complain not enough pay ---- complain not enough work ---- complain no work ..... and on and on.
On the new house developments, we got a rough quotation from Ikea on the kitchen reno, dad uncovered a whole long list of defects, now getting a quote for wardrobe. I will be broke when I shift in, for sure!
Had lunch in Putrajaya Food Court, Rain Nudle Green Curry Rice RM6 compared to the RM15 you pay if you ate in KLCC.....

BUY CHOC WAFER
Another day of colleague bonding in AUNTYLAND. Yes, my male-colleagues have dubbed our company auntie land..... That's the female attraction factor.... all aunty... Har har... A statement made a true hard fact when we had lunch at LUCT. Anyway why BUY CHOC WAFER? Coz in my seeming abandon of my health diet, I have been snacking on Lendy's choc wafers. Yes.... in 5 mins I gobbled half a packet of his choc wafers.
I also had a COKE, oily briyani rice.... wow.... what has happened. I assured Lendy, "my health eating habits will be BACK".... but not until I have had a feast of fat-filled food at chillis... yum... feel the urge for a big fatty juicy Chilli's burger rite now.
I guess it's kinda hard to continue my health diet coz its difficult not having the kitchen I want and the lifestyle I want. I will be BACK. The healty living will be back after I move in to Cyberjaya.
Off to Penang this week... taking a break with Hoe, Jimmy, Mel... That should be good.

BEING POSITIVE IS BEST AND HEALTHY
Previous blog was quite miserable. Hmmm... that's typical of feeling bad at a particular moment in time. Facing up to your dissapointments and regrets is always good.
Anyway, had a full weekend. Saturday was another weekend with Hoe, Jimmy and Mel. Night clubbing at crummy jeng-zouk coz had to meet Willy (mel's penang buddy). Sunday... futsal this time our guys all turned up. Sunday night, was interesting.... dinner at i-chiban and drinks at bangsar with friends from Penang and mel's friend from canada, Mary Gentleman (yes that's her real name). Good to catch up.
Of course, yesterday was a highlight. Getting my condo keys. Yes! At last!!! Woo-hoo!!! Now I got bigger headache as to where to get money for some reno.
Just after lunch. Raining in cyberjaya. To any of you, facing some downtimes, remember the saying of the crow, "It can't rain all the time....".
'Nuff said.

WHOLE WORLD CRUSHING ON YOU
I'm not a happy-happy person. That's not me. That's not Josh. In my miserable state of being, I honestly seek refuge in simple things to make me happy. Am I too complicated? Do I want too much out of life? Maybe. I do know that nothing works easy for me or I have never walked out an absolute WINNER in anything. NEVER EVER. Never ever got the BIG breaks I needed.... When I get one good thing happening, the next one is far, far away... applies to everything... job, business, whatever.
I want to be able to smile, able to laugh... but I know when I do .... somehow the world around me HATES IT. The world complains about me being miserable but when I try to change to a shiny happy person, everyone like gets miserable around me. Weird.
Sometimes I feel like the killer in the movie Se7en. "In this world you have to really hit someone on the head to make that person listen to you" or something like that.
Anyway, kudos to my family and mel for putting up with me. I know I cant stand me. I am utterly convince.. iamnotahappyperson.

SINKING FUND... EMPTY POCKETS
You know what bittersweet is? Now I do. The meaning is so clear. Har har... but this wasnt that bad... Well.... I finally got the VACANT POSSESSION letter (the one that tells you... Gee we would like to give you the keys to the condo that you are killing yourself paying every month for but now... us POOR CASH STARVED developers need to SUCK you MORE $$$$$.... So this PLUS that PLUS that equals....) .... RM1776.63. That's how much I had to pay. Crumbs. I even remember the figure so well coz I watched the developer admin person count my blood earned cash.... and this was doubly counted by my salesman.. .WOW LOOKING AT HIM COUNT MONEY ... This guy is loaded. His smile is so "I'm an honest salesman" , remembers everyone by name ..... no wonder he is the top salesman there... unbelievable....
So it's SWEET that I got that darn VACANT POSSESSION letter to get my keys (not yet ... now I have to get ANOTHER LETTER telling me YES I CAN GET THE KEYS NOW).... its BITTER I'm starved of more blood earned money.... haha
The only thing that I'm a bit POed right now is the RM250 per quarter sinking fund. Gosh. Sinking fund = money to paint the exterior walls and pool cleansing. Great. Anyway, guess I am a contributing MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY.
Thanks for sinking me, SINKING FUND..... And I'm POed at the damn officer I called regarding the payment details. On the letter it says "CALL US FOR DETAILS" but when you call its like ... "HEY STUPID PURCHASE, ITU PUN TAK FAHAM.... AKU MALAS NAK LAYAN"... Dammit... take my money ... you should treat me like KING STOOPID - CUSTOMER IS KING!!!
That's Malaysian customer service for you. Anyway I cant complain much since he wasnt that rude... It was just the sound of his voice that made me feel that way.
HOUSING DEVELOPERS = Selling you a concept that will be totally different from what you purchase + EVERYTHING CAN before you buy to CANNOT or PAY MORE + GIVE YOU A BOX with concrete walls to live in and promise a paradise
PURCHASER = Poor middle class earner spends almost all his half salary on a "dream" home every month which will cost him more hair loss in more payments, renovation..... just to taste that new comfort

WHERE AND WHEN
Went out with Hoe on Saturday. Mel, he and I had breakfast at Eatsun. Service kinda bad this time. We teased Hoe, saying that everywhere we eat with him, service turns bad.... like the other time at Planet Hollywood.... when he didnt get his change and his card was frauded supposedly by one of the waitresses (have boycotted Planet since)... like the first time at Fish n' Co where he and I waited 40 minutes long for our Fish n' rice..... and this time at Eat Sun imagine the dim sun tolley lady, brought the dim sum stuff to the table behind us and then skipped to the table in front of us not before I screamed, "HELLO???"... HOE MAYBE IT REALLY IS YOU! Har, har....
Anyways, we dropped Mel off to work after walking around Bkt Bintang and drinks at dome together with Jimmy. Jimmy got a new Sony Ericsson Handphone...
I met up with Hoe again at Taman Billion at 5:45... parents attended the evening service at Charis... with only a handful of people.... it was raining... Malaysians are very fond of blaming on the rain.... "Late for work - RAINING LARRR".... "Played football badly today... RAINING LARRR"..... "Couldn't met up with you... RAINING LARRR"....
Anyways, Hoe and I headed off to PJ and found this great wardrobe maker... I potentially could now do a nice walk-in at a low price.... Hopefully can get it done next month....
We had dinner at Ikano, looked around Harvey Norman, Apple Studio, Ikea and reached home at 10pm.... A full day.
Mel had to work again on Sunday... too much work and stress..... Hoe and I and the rest of the guys played our usual Sunday futsal... We dont understand why this week our team was not clicking and subsequently lost 0-4, 0-1, 0-4 in 3 FIFA sized sessions... Crumbs... had a succesful session at the end thought against a Malay team and netted a hatrick though my team crumbled 4-5.
I wonder if anyone READS or could EVER be entertained by this thoughtless stuff I'm bloggin'. Anyway - it helps me remember WHERE this happened and WHEN.....

FINALLY
Went for the launch of my condo block yesterday. Will officially get keys this week on the 14th. Went into my block but of course couldnt get into my place. But took a look at one of the opened units. Pretty happy with the overall design of the place.
Happy that:
1. the clubhouse looks great
2. the clubhouse is just next to my block and the block swimming pool in front is not too big but looking good... choice of 2 pools
3. Each unit comes with entrance iron gate. The entrance door looks nice
4. Nice slate tiles for balcony and entrance
5. Good lift and spacious area to walk outside condo
Not too happy:
1. with the exterior building paint.... doesnt look long lasting. crummy.
2. Hopefully the bathroom has a raised divider between shower and toilet as the showroom else extra cost to make that
3. That i have parquet floors... but I knew that long ago anyway...
So we (+ parents and mel) got there about 10:45... sat down and the first thing plastered at the entrance of cyberia was... "Welcome Ong Ka Ting... congrats on winning election...." with Barisan logo next to it... Ho hum...
Anyway, we proceded to park it what would possibly be my car park bay. Took our seats.... And the usual speeches ensued with your usual PA system that you wouldnt be able to hear what the speaker was saying but only applaud when he says "Sekian... terima kasih".... While that was going on, Mel and I went around my block to check out the area....
... So Mel had the idea to wait next to the makan area (anticipating the Malaysia rush for food and not queing up). When it was time to eat, everyone like came rushing for food (they would end up complaining about later on), and everyone in typical Malaysia fashion was shoving and pushing. One old lady like virtually plonked like 1/4 of the bowl of chicken curry on her mee hoon. What's wrong with Malaysians.... Mel said " I really wonder how the lady is gonna finish that plate of meehoon and chicken curry"....
Anyway we found a good spot and proceeded to finish our snack/lunch. When we were done I carried the plates back and my dad was looking at me wondering why I am clearing up... Mel and I lauched into preaching to my parents the concept of "clearing up your own dishes" how by studying abroad we were educated with better "attitudes".... Well, it was proven true, as I brought the stack of plates to the kitchen area, the MKLand lady was probably shock/happy/in state of disbelief and she asked me "do you want a drink... hot or cold... would that be one cup or two".... PROOF THAT if you treat others good and had some class/manners you will be treated with the same respect (not all the time but at least a chance of that kind of treatment). So with that evidence, I reinforce my earlier "surmon" to my parents hahahaha... and mel underline the fact my saying, "This world would be a better and cleaner place if everyone just cleared their OWN junk".
Anyway had a blast at futsal yesterday... Played and challenged a new group, played in a larget fifa sized turf.... with Hoe, Kit and myself scoring. Fun.

SEMINARS AND HOTELS
Back in office. Was in Mandarin last week on Thursday for Customer Contact World and ..... I won the Genesys contest and took hope RM200 worth of Isetan vouchers... Yippppeeee.... So glad to win something...(AT LAST)
Friday, sales seminar at Mandarin Oriental.... Tea break snacks was ok but seems not to be as good or less variety than last year.... But yesterday and Monday had a seminar at Westin.... the seminar was really useful for my nature of work.... and the inbetween snacks were really well crafted and yummy.... YUM.... YUM.... nice small cakes, egg tarts, green tea wafers with chocolate coating, nice selection of tea picked from a box (earl grey, darjeeling, fruits, jasmine), nice coffee, cold noodles in a small bowl with prawns, kishe and a really yummy lunch at one of the restaurants at Westin with nice Pumpkin soup for starters, steak/salmon fillet for main course and a piece of tiramisu cake...
To top it off Westin has really nice modernistic decor. I really like the hotel.... Maybe will spend a night there someday.

A WEEKEND OF TWO FAMILIES
Mel's parents and sis drove down to KL during the weekend. I'm sure she missed her family.... We never realize how much we miss our family when we are away.... Anyway went to Fish 'n Co for a nice family dinner on Friday nite.... It's a good place for chit-chat and good eats. 7 persons and the bill was only RM150... Not bad..... Anyways it was a marathon shopping day on Saturday .... at 1 Utama and Ikano.... what did I buy:
1. Nayonaise (Soy-based mayonaise), Sunflower seeds, Organic sugar and Miso RM60
2. 200g KimChi from the Korean Fair in Ikano RM5
And then Ikea for dinner.... including Kit who came along.
Sunday... breakfast at EatSun Imbi and Times Square after that. 2:30 pm ... Mel's parents headed home, my parents and Mel and I headed home, and myself ... futsal after that... It was terrible... 7 of us .... If there were AT LEAST 8 it would have been alrite since we got a small futsal court... but nooooooooooooo....... Hafiz (Mr Eligible Bachelor CLEO hahahahaha) had to get a sprained knee, Hoe's friend couldnt make it and Jimmy and etc etc etc..... grrr....
Well it's Tuesday now... in a new office area.... I guess I'm grateful... I got a good position against a partition and got a window view of the Koi Pond.... heh heh.... Yesterday was just moving and cleaning up....
What a boring blogger I am... no thoughts, no rants or raves.... just an everyday record.... haahahhaahahahah....
I guess it's funny... I think about so much stuff all the time .... when it comes to blog it's refreshing instead and being the moody person I am.... I want blog to be a little light hearted I guess.....

DINNER AT CITY SQUARE
Half day of packing at my workplace. We be shifting up to the 2nd Level.... gonna be more cramped as our previous, spacious office space will be rented out....
Mel was buzzing me to come pick her up early... In the end... I arrived at her office building at 7 and.... had to wait. So I treated myself to some mushroom soup and teh-o at AROMAs (this cafe at City-Square). The mushroom soup was kinda cool, with its bowl made out of bread (that's probably why I ordered it). Quite yummy, and nice to eat off the top cover. Check it out:
Anyways, Mel eventually finished at 7:45 and we were too lazy to eat anywhere else so we ended up eating there and the food wasn't so good. Her fried rice was pretty ok, but my marina spaghetti was like really soggy and dull tasting.....
Got back home, about 9.... see Malaysia go down 0-1 to South Korea (dubious penalty, if you asked me) in an Olympic Qualifier. Not bad performance from our lads.....
Well, that's all there is .... another day passed. Got up this morning thinking where on earth I'm gonna get money to do some or any renovation when my condo is ready. Ah well......

ELECTION, SICKNESS AND ANOTHER WEEKEND GONE BY
Yes, it was my first election yesterday. 118 Setiawangsa. Quick and easy. Mel had high fever. On MC today. She's really sick. Hope she gets well soon. Sunday - Went to vote at noon. Mel went to clinic. Took everyone to EatSun Imbi for dim sum and roast duck.... Walked around Lot 10. Came back... Mel bedridden with fever.... Me at PS2.... helped parents to cook dinner.... Dad marking election wins all night. Up to 3 watching election. Portsmouth relief by beating neighbours Southamption 1-0.
Saturday - went to Great Eastern Mall. Mel and I as usual will check on our favourite hamster which we call "punky" at the pet store. He's really cute but we can't buy him coz we dunno where to put him or who is gonna take care of him.
Anyway, we had lunch at Cozy Corner.... boy that place is making lotsa $$$. The food is not too bad though. Then we went to Mac Asia to get a laptop protector case... then I bought some groceries. That was pretty much it.
Right now??? I'm reallllly sleeeeeeeeeeeeeepy. Didnt sleep well last night.... A colleague asked me in the men's just now,"not enuff sleep? Shift into cyberjaya already???", to which i replied, "If I have shifted to cyberjaya I would have ENUFF sleep!".....

INCUBUS IN MALAYSIA
Yes it happened. Incubus came and we went and sweated and rocked all night. Read Su-Yin's post ... I couldn't agree more...
Yup stuck between buncha posers and dum mat rocks who dont give a rat's ass about Incubus... Anyway after the sardine can experience of Linkin Park the bunch of us got smarter this time and kinda like form a half circle ... and we manage to stick with each other all the way till the end... mel in the middle..... Hoe, Jimmy,Vince,Rachel and meeself.
The concert itself? Really good. Happy with the performance I just love it that Incubus sing for themselves and no other. No kiss ass stupid statements like ".... this is the best crowd we have ever played to BLAH BLAH BLAH...".... they just played stuff from their new album and stuff from science, make yourself and morning view.
They didnt even play Pardon Me, or other fan favourites which to my opinion was cool. And GREAT that it ended with a chill number ... "ARE YOU IN"...
Well it was enjoyable and am happy with the concert. Had a blast. Didnt have much problem parking, just parked furthur and walked furthur...
Great stuff...Mel and I really enjoyed ourselves.

THE QUEST FOR GOOD LOOKING COMPUTERS
Blame it on Apple. Dunno how they do it, but they make PCs look cool. Place a Low-Yat PC in the living room, everyone will go like "eek..."... Put an iMac there and everyone will go like "cool......". First Apple came out with those translucent iMacs in 1997 and when PC makers tried to copy it, it turned out shit. Then they changed and when for this pearl white look.... and now the Apple higher end line sports silver. And what needs to be said about those savvy iPods????
Anyway, Mel got her iBook this week. Yup. We went to Macasia on Friday and got her spanking new, cutesy iBook. I asked Mel to max her RAM to 640MB to ensure everything runs smoothly. The good news was that her new iBook came free with an Airport Extreme card worth RM399 and she received 10 lucky draw vouchers for the lucky draw at the new Macasia 1 Utama store opening.
I was away in Pahang on Saturday visiting Tasik Bera so I couldn't go with her for the opening. Sadly, she didnt win an iPod and got some gifts like mouse pads, GYM vouchers this weird looking soft-toy which the guy said can be used for cleaning your laptops screen (imaging rubbing the belly of a doggie on ur laptop screen.... huh?)
We both spent some time on the iBook and it really is sooooo nice. I mean you practically want to hug the little thing (which Mel did). Anyways, after all that, Mel didnt really have a budget to buy the Apple mouse. So Sunday we went on a quest to find a PC mouse that can match her iBook. I told Mel don't worry there has to be one. It was TOUGH! All the PC mouses where weird colors and shapes and when something looked good, they had this ugly logo pasted on it. Can you imagine having this Taiwan brand mouse sitting next to your classy iBook.... yuck.
Finally, i spotted one.... It had no branding, it was translucent like an Apple mouse and despite being a 2 button mouse, it had no button cuts.... seamless. Wow. And it costs? RM 27. Yup - unbelievable.
OK, I had to get my PC fix too. I have 2 goals this year for my PC workstation - get the BEST looking PC configuration (Mac-Like) for my video editing suite and get a Mac at the end of the year....
During New Year in Singapore I spotted this cool looking PC desktop - Packard Bell... Piano white, very Mac-like and nice rounded curves. Can be matched with my creature speakers.... Anyway I stumbled on it in Low-Yat. Unbelievable. Dunno where they got it from but they were selling the case. RM120. Can you believe it. So I fitted in a powerful Gigabyte Board and a Pentium 2.4GHz proc with 256MB DDRAM and RM1200 later I had my new editing system (minus the hard drives, DVD-writer etc.)
Hehe. I got my PC fix too. Now I got bigger problems. Finding a matching monitor and keyboard and mouse. Darn. The quest goes on.....

BIRTHDAY DINNER
Had a great, quiet and enjoyable time with Mel last nite (Thank you, baby - u r da bestest). She brought me to Tamarind Springs. Really nice atmosphere. The food was pretty good and service not too bad. The bill? RM 190 plus tax. What we had:
1. Tamarind Appetizer Selection
2. Lobsters (nice!!!)
3. Lamb with vege
4. Eggplant
5. Steam Jasmine Rice
6. Ice Lemon Tea and Earl Grey
Sorry couldnt give a better description... 'cause I can't remember the exact details of each item.... but it was a real good 2 hours spent alone.
It was great because it was the first time for both of us. Initially not sure were the place was but I could say it was good marketing... because the entrance from the main road had no signage ... just a very siamese temple like entrance... cool.
Another year gone by. Another year to look forward to. 'Nuff said.

A SUNDAY LIKE ANY OTHER EXCEPT WE WENT TO CHURCH
Yes, as expected we all went to church. Maybe it was the DVD, maybe it was the Holy Spirit, maybe it was both. Whatever it is, it felt good going back to church. Kit was there too, sitting next to Sue Ann.
Had lunch in Cheras before headint to Kit's place and then back to my place. Had no house keys so Kit, Mel and I were waiting for my parents.
As usual - evening was futsal time.... and did some graphics work at nite. That's about it.

A DAY AT TIMES SQUARE (????!!!!???)
Yes, Mel and I dont like Times Square. I am the one always excited about any new place in the city and my initial excitement concerning Times Square eventually turned to dissapointment when no real branded shops came about. Only DEBENHAMS, and on Saturday there was a DEBENHAMS sale. Great. Mel got me a pre-birthday gift, a nice pay of working shoes that were very Camper-like. And then she bought herself 2 very nice skirts at some shops.
For 2 people who dont really like the place, we sure spent the entire day there. Anyway, the top floors are still very empty, and WHERE AND WHEN IS THE IMAX CINEMA coming? It's been too long a wait. Anyway, you can check out the cool view of the old Pudu prison from some of the empty lots.
Just before we left, we bought some DVDs. Got a bootleg of The Passion of The Christ.... I know it's gonna be banned here, and the cinema copy was acceptable for RM7. DVCams make good cinema copies, nowadays....
Spend the night watching it and the movie really hit all of us. Yes, Jesus suffered badly and this movie is as real to the real event of the crucifixion. I for one, have been hoping for a movie like this for years since I became a Christian in high school and its finally here. Yes I guess its going to be a life changing film.

STAR WARS NAMES
Ever tried to the Star Wars name generator? Ha ha. I am now Josoo Brkua. Tried to generate for Mel and I got: Melli Jepen .
Like those names! If any of you are into the Star Wars thing like me head over to here.
Had crabs for supper with Mel last night at Imbi Road. Yummy. Always amazed that under all that hard, hard shells are soft delicious meats....
It's like some people.... hard on the outside, soft on the inside and vice versa......

When to KLCC yesterday waiting for sweetie Mel. Bought a comic book and browse meaninglessly around the shops. Kinokuniya, Video EZY.... Pick mel up and we headed to Great Eastern Mall for dinner at Cozy Corner. Chicken Green Curry and bean sprouts with rice and some drinks. Did some fun grocery shopping.... Bought Ben and Jerry's, Mel couldn't wait to get home... You should see the look on her face when she had the first bite... YUM....
Apart from that bit of indulgence, I purchased my usual favourites; Adventist Bread and 2 boxes of tea - chammomile and jasmine.
Also tried out this organic mee hoon. Hmmm... discovered an entire section of organic food in Cold Storage. A few more items here and there and the bill - RM 50.... but of course, the B and J was already > RM20.
Back home, kick back.... PS2 and telly. Mel and I have been watching...... (can you believe it) Singapore's chinese serial HOLLAND V so regularly it scares me...... Dunno why we like it so much.
Slept at 2am .... before that caught the end of the Million dollar Fear Factor champion, this black dude..... He was praying in tongues and kept on shouting HALLELUJAH, PRAISE JESUS ... after he won....
YES. That's your typical day as any other. Work - Dinner - TV - ZZZZ. I can feel the next one coming up. Yup I bet that's today.

Havent blogged for 5 days. Been a busy week! Got some naptime on Wednesday but still didnt feel too good. I went back at 6am on Wednesday morning. Gosh. And woke up at 9am , met Pat (my boss) in KL in the morning and submit proposal. Phew.... got the day off.
Thursday - back to office. Thought we'd get some rest but we got a call from the bank to give a last-minute presentation... GASP! Format this and that and went back to KL at 6 pm for our presentation. We finish by 7 plus and I drove all the way to PJ to meet up with Kumar for a discussion on some Wetlands stuff. We went to Ikea, got our 2 cups of coffee and some food to eat. I had the salad and the cold open-faced sandwich. After that we proceeded to Kelana Jaya mamak for more chitchat and then back to Kum's place. Got an sms from Jennifer and Spore colleagues (her boss) - they were looking for an office in KL. Met up with them in Bangsar for a drink. Headed home. Chit chat with my girlfriend then zzz (bout 2 plus).
Friday - ok still not getting the 8 hours sleep daily that I set out to get. Fail, fail, fail. Averaging 5 hours. Was Friday gonna be the chance to get some much needed sleep and rest???? Bones aching. Much be the air-con. Friday was friday and I was welcoming a "normal" day at work.... WRONG!!!! Pat told me there was a DEMO this time. I got everything ready and we met another client. What time I finished??? 8:30pm. Great. Reached home and ....rested??? Nope. Today was Friday and Mel had tickets to Black Guiness party event. She was involved in the design and advertising bit so we went for it. It was the shortest time in a club.... When we got there her friends were leaving. I met Nat (my cousin) and hubby Bob. We went upstairs and looked down at the stage and there were these dancers pracing around in tiny scraps of clothing. I wasnt entertained by their antics but the singh guy with the turban really was enjoying himself, dancing with them. Mel was joking, "someone should tell his wife"....HAHAHAHAHAHA. Well... got back... about 1 am.... Knockout.
Saturday... Feeling much much better. Got the 8 hours sleep and decided to to stay home, sleep between meals, TV just to recuperate. Felt a bit better, Mel and I had a nice dinner at Fish n' Co. This time she had mussels and I had sweet n' sour fish and rice. Then we had italian gelato for dessert.... There are 2 gelator stalls by bintang walk... i think the better one is the one closer to Lot 10. Got home.... watched a bit of football....ZZZZ
SUNDAY... woke up and felt great.... wow no more aches here and there. Nice sunday. Had a good session of futsal at 4-6pm. Should have slept earlier but coz I felt good, blew it again and slept at 3am playing PS2. JOSHUA - DONT YOU EVER LEARN?????

What was the 3 day weekend like? Let's see....
1. I got sore throat and fell ill on Saturday
2. Got betterl and played futsal on Sunday evening
3. I bought a 3-tier TEFAL steamer and mel cooked a sumptuous steam salmon with relish dish and delicious stuffed vege in big mushrooms covered with cheese
4. I cant believe it, spurs for the third time in a row, scored 4 goals but AGAIN gave a way a 3-1 lead. How dumb yet brilliant. The team I support really bears a striking resemblance to my life.... always promising yet .... not there.... win some yet lose some...
5. More disbelief or rather... "I knew it".... Michael Owen struck a terrible penalty to sent his team crashing out of the FA Cup. Why Michael, why???? More reason, Sven should get Jermaine Defoe to back up in the England squad.... A striker that never lets his team down....
6. Mel got sick today and on MC.... maybe she got it from me
7. Made a new set of glasses.... Can't believe it... my power is still 150L, 200R. Thought it would have gotten worse.
8. My dad had flu too.
9. Did I forget to mention in a few blogs back my moms handbag was snatched??? Gone were the fan I bought her from Korea, her IC, housekeys.... the worse part is she had to PAY RM110 when she renewed her IC today coz they said its the 5th time she "LOST" her IC.
10. Have still to get proper sleep. Only Friday nite I had solid sleep. Just cant seem to knock off nicely. Tonight I'm gonna take some of mel's cough mixture and flu tablets to knock me out heh heh.
Well a pretty busy 3 day weekend. Much more than what I typed above. Anyway, thats the blog today so.... eat healthy guys.

Went to PJ last nite. Met up with Kumar. Yes he screwed my health diet... Ha ha. What I ate? Fish o' fillet and some fries. And I realised... how I have been right about fatty foods... as I muched into the fish o fillet.... I squeezed it and saw this oil stuff coming out.... And all the fries were deep friend in GHASTLY oil ...... oh man.
It continues today... I guess I miss having my ADVENTIST bread and sprouts, I couldnt fine them at TESCO last night on the way to PJ. Today lunch I had:
1. 1 PIECE FRIED FISH
2. Some Kari Kuah
3. Fried Brinjal
4. Egg Omelete
5. Rice
Ah well.... I wont be this obsessive health eater, just whenever I can Im gonna eat healthy contrary to what some people think. Actually, my body feels good eating vege and fruits nowadays... It's like been really needing it.
And, damn... no LIVE england v portugal friendly game. 1-1 the score. Way to go Spurs defender Ledley King, who scored for England.

I never mentioned in this blog how I love or loved comics. I have on my left a copy of the HULK movie adaptation... published by asia based GOTHAM comics. Thanks to this, we can get cheap versions of Marvel, DC or Dark Horse in a nice slightly bigger than "Archie" comic format.
Anyway, I remember when I was a kid when comics where only RM1.80..... It wasnt about making $$$... it was just good art and stories you eagerly wait for every month....
I'm glad we getting better comic to movie translations nowadays. Spidey rocks on the big screen. hope to see Fantastic Four soon. Hulk could have been better.... the new Punisher looks good... Daredevil... I liked.

12:56am... In my girlfriend's office, waiting for her to finish work. Normal I guess in the advertising line. Been a good weekend doing nothing. Havent been sleeping well this past week... problem with my bed mattress....
Unbelievably I have been transformed to a health freak this week.... bought and ate so many fruits.... adventist bread with lotsa fibre.... gonna continue this hahahaha.... i cant believe, me the meat-eater becoming health freak.
I could rival a cow at eating alfalfa sprouts this week. Plan to cook healthy too...
Anyway... mel had to work so we could only make it for valentines dinner. Dinner at Bon Ton... very nice but expensive. Bill was over RM300.... but the food was really gorgeous... unfortunately we were both stoned from too much food.... just zzzzz immediately after dinner....

Tired of computers and tap, tap, tap at the laptop trying to help my boss with a proposal. My eyes getting bad, I feel. Been reading up on cancer and stuff, after a colleague's sis had passed away. Anyway health is important. Must take care of ur health and the ones u love.
You know I'm the kind of guy when my room and living place is in order, my life will be in order. Now its utter chaos. Chaos until I shift to CBJaya.
Anyway had fruits today. I need more nutrition and fibre. Can't just keep eating all those fatty foods. Feel so good that lunch I had fruits. Gonna keep doing it.

More work coming my way. Busy day. A bit of a headache now. Some stuff over the weekend:
1. Spurs won 4-3 over Portsmouth. At least a win.... phew... almost blew it again
2. Saw the new Proton, GEN-2 .... great design and price ... a real WOW .... never thought I say that about a Proton
3. Tried the crab place at UK heights.... not too bad
4. Bak Kut Teh with mel, my cousin and Syn Hun.... I never realised Bak Kut Teh was so expensive till now
5. Why pay > RM100 for an original PS DVD remote when you can get a multitap, DVD remote and wireless headphone all in a vertical stand for RM95 in Sungei Wang? Unbelievable. Havent bought it though.
6. Fake PS2 controllers are useless.

MEL
Mel, baby... 10 things I love about you....
1. You always make me laugh
2. You simplify my needless complicated life until I realise what the heck was the fuss I was making about
3. Your ability to know whats cool and whats tacky, even when the lines are dangerously close
4. Dining with you - always want to try new things and seek out new favourite places
5. How well you take care of ur stuff and how precious they are to you
6. We can be kids when the whole world wants to be old and adult
7. Always affectionate
8. Your love for family and friends is real and always hopeful
9. You are afraid of some things that I am not yet not afraid of some things that I am.
10. You are a 10 out of 10.
Although you are not into football and curry obsessively like I am.... im glad we are different in many ways yet so together.

A WEEKEND WITH FRIENDS
Was a good weekend catching up with friends. Saturday, Mel and I had dim sum with Jimmy and Hoe. Hoe showed us his new condo upon our request at Cheras Utama. Not bad. We checked out the facilities too. After that, we headed for Jimmy's place. Bought marinated steaks and lamb (no chicken please - bird flu scare) at Carrefore Sri Petaling and had a nice dinner. Jimmy bought a nice semi-acoustic to add to his collection of guitars. It is good to note hear that our band WIRED (now changed to wyred) will be reborn soon. We gonna have a jam session this week, compile and record our old stuff.
Sunday. Spent about 8 hours on my PS2 on Pro Evolution Soccer. I think thats too much considering I got so much to do. I guess I cant just NOT have any fun. I need my video gaming fix. For the past few years I have hardly spent any time on videogames. Ah well. Anyway spent the evening shifting stuff out of Mel's rented placed coz it was broken in the week earlier and she lost her G4 powerbook. She is very sad. So we have to look for a new place to rent for her.
Yesterday - public holiday. What a long day. A gruelling and tiring futsal session at 3-5pm at Pan-Global building, Jalan Tandang. Right after that, dinner at 1 Utama at my favourite fish-in-a-pan place. Yummy. Nice dinner with Mel, Kit, Chern, Lin Poh and CK. And Kit and I were still in our smelly jerseys.
Headed home, showered, and headed to Breakers Sri Hartamas for pool, fussball and drinks. Got back at 2pm. Dead tired. Back to work today, fresh and ready to face the world again.
I tought I smile more today and be more positive and feel closer to God.

MY LOVE FOR APPLE COMPUTER
Yes, I am a rabid Steve Jobs fan and love Apple Computer. The weird thing is, I don't even own a Mac. I'm waiting to get my first Mac middle of this year. Anyway, Steve Jobs is the greatest presenter in the whole world.
I love giving presentations too .... and Steve Jobs is the inspiration. Thats what I call selling. Apple is the only company innovating and designing good and user friendly computers. I wish all of you would understand WHY USING A MAC IS BETTER.
Standard and ignorant excuses to why people don't want to buy a Mac:
1. "TOO EXPENSIVE" - What? An e-Mac is now less than 3K. PC buying is cheap to the average Malaysian because he is too spoilt buying bloody RM5 pirated software disks and not having to pay software to do stuff that comes free with an Apple, like video editing, dvd authoring, mp3 encoding, image cataloging and music loops.
2. "NOT COMPATIBLE" - Ignorance. Don't you know that there is MS OFFICE for Mac and that it is superior to the Windows version (admitted by Microsoft themselves). So what the heck is Mac not compatible with ???? I know -- the ugly furniture you have in your room.
3. "NO GAMES AND SOFTWARE" - Stinking pirates remark. No software? That's a joke. And if you really like games, it should be a PS2.
Ah, well. To each his own. Go ahead and live in your drab and sorry PC world. The same goes for me until I get my Apple. Anyway, head over to Apple and check out their cool products. If you wanna buy apple stuff in Malaysia... go here.
Buahhahaha.

"Josh,... are at the bottom because THEY NEVER BLOG and whats the point of having your own page if you dont update it dammit.".... thats from CHERN's site. HA HA.
Now for my 2 cents worth.... My best thoughts unfortunately are not blogged sometimes. Words can be manipulated and either overhype an incident or not be able to express what someone is truly feeling. I refuse to blog and think about who is gonna read this load of "garbage" and rambling and what that person is going to think.
But CHERN is right. I guess I should blog more. It makes me pause to think. Makes me pause to write. Instead of COMPUTER CODE, write English instead. I must admit my English has deteriorated. Less reading nowadays....
In this computer age, diaries are rare and this is just the best avenue to just recollect and type a piece of your life.
Truly much has happened the past year. Whatever I have blogged.... all standard "life events" .... there were some really interesting moments that I have just not put down. Hmmmph.
Well... welcome to my blog. It's rubbish really. And I think I'll let it remain rubbish.

OK.... Almost 5pm. Getting geared up for that hour-plus drive back home. When will this ordeal be over? WHEN LORD WHEN??? Its gonna be soon I'll get my keys to my new cyberjaya condo. Really, really cant wait. I think its ridiculous to waste 2-3 hours of my life travelling everyday. As it is life is already so short. Hmmm....
This year I will be REALISTICLY ambitious and bolder. Anyway today, my office buddy is 'tumpangin' my car so he's gonna do the driving until his place at Sg. Long.

2nd working day of 2004. Last night I played a bit of Pro Evolution Soccer on my trusty PS2. Tried to buy more players to my "Liverpool" squad. Unsuccessful with few players but managed to buy DJIBRIL CISSE. Amazing. Last time I played version 2 and bought Harry Kewell and next thing you know - the guy is in the REAL liverpool squad. Looks like things that happen in my game is gonna happen in real life ha ha ha ha....

THE MISERABLE STATE OF LIVERPOOL AND SPURS
Houllier - you suck. Spent so much money on lousy players. ANd let good ones go. And spurs - unfortunately for me - you guys suck so bad but I will follow you even to Division 1. Dammit.

Back to work... updated my blog with pictures .... finally this site is more visual. Who gives a crap about cool layout and design.... got no time for that.... hehe.... anyway, it was really good family time this christmas and new year. Spend lotsa $$$ on gifts and travel. Anyway mel and i are enjoying the lomo cam i got her ... dunno how the pics will turn out.
Well another new year. Just got to make the best of it. Spend time wisely, give as much as i can give, love as much as i can love.

Some pictures captured with my crummy zire71 pda-cam: arthurs new sony digital cam, suntec singapore, mel at the "wishing" fountain, jon and fara at new year dinner, christmas at joannes' and a picture of me, which i use to test link and now to even out these bunch of pictures from 5 to 6.... (pictures hosting courtesy of www.mediaaura.com)

It was a quite a memorable christmas. I didnt feel so "christmassy" but it was a good time to spend with mel's family and mine. Lan didnt make it to Joanne's place for the 2nd row running and it was the 2nd time in a row for me (hmmm....). Well, just got our bearings and when we came back we left for singapore. This time met up with Arthur and wife... showed off his new Sony 8-megapixel cam.... Anyway following this blog are some photos.

Just came back from Penang last night. Been a while since the last trip. Did the typical but meaningful stuff... eating at lorong selamat... buying DVD.... visiting mel's parents and aunty mary...
Oh yah - just dont understand why people would queue up so long to eat char kuey teow. I mean, even how good and different can char kuey teow be????... do u really want to queue up half an hour when u can get about the same opposite? I tell u that lorong selamat lady is making too much $$$. Utter nonsense.
Took 6 hrs to get back to KL last night. Jam.
Coming to that time end of year again. Christmas, friends, family and presents.... My parents, mel and i spent a fair bit of time last nite reminiscing on past christmases ... i guess i was bored from driving... kept me awake though...
We had dinner in Ipoh... and wondered what do people in Ipoh do for fun? It really is a very boring city. The chicken rice is good though.

The Linkin Park concert.... it was cool. 15 October 2003. Linkin Park live in KL. Should have blogged this earlier. Anyway we drove around on the 14th nite... Leech, Jimbo, Mel, S-Anne and myself... had dinner at dome... just tot we try and see if there was anything at Concorde Hotel (thats where the band was staying). Anyways we saw people waiting... we just thought we hand around the lobby for some fun. We met up with their crew... took some snaps with the crew... got free LP guitar picks.... the band finally turned up but was pushed into a service lift by security... Chester waved to both mel and me waving... big deal...
Anyway cool concert... I kept thinking at least the local organizer made some money smartly using an old deserted stadium... hmmm.... the dumb thing was a partition between the stupid CELCOM LIMITED TICKETS and the other crowd... i mean - if u gonna make a partition, dont leave that much space in between.
We we crammed like sardines but had fun. You must understand - we Malaysians are starved of good headbanging rock acts. Anyway... The ones pushing in the crowds near us were Singaporeans (huh!)....
Good stuff although i felt they should have slowed things down midway but they made it fast and loud. Lasted about less than 90 mins.
25,000 crowd turned up. Hats off to our government for letting us have some fun.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS............... I passed my Genesys (www.genesyslab.com) exam.... YIPPPEEEEEEEEE ....
It's been a tense wait. When my colleague called me, he said he passed... I check my e-mail and the first sentence was so scary...
"Thank you for participating in our certification exam program." It's like one of those "thank you for participating BUT you didnt make it e-mails"..... but a few lines down it read:
"Congratulations, you have passed this exam. This now qualifies you as a Certif
ied Genesys Engineer-1 on Genesys 6."
Hehe. So happy. And it happened on my mom's birthday which is today. My family and my girlfriend have been praying hard (or course I have too, hahaha).
Phew. What a relief. I needed to pass this one. Don't feel so tense coming to work anymore.
So, I was this multimedia guy now I'm a CTI guy..... a new beginning.
The trauma of taking another exam again was terrible. It was like back in school again.... and it was a closed book exam.....
Thank you God. Thanks for everything.

Back from lunch.... had a nite at Sri Hartamas mamak with with some old friends, my girlfriend and met up some cabin crew people.
Managed to get my hands on a "bootlegged" audio cd. It has all the same packaging and looks as good as the original. Welcome to my country.
I was sending back some consultants from Spore and the first thing they told me was that.... "I wanted to get some DVDs"
Yup - thanks. So glad to know Malaysians are good for something.
